Neat cocktail spoon!

Neat cocktail spoon. Bear in mind that this is longer than an iced teaspoon,and for good reason. The extra length allows you to use it in a cocktail pitcher or shaker without getting your fingers in the drink. Though it will fish a cherry, an olive or an onion out of a jar, it is not a measuring spoon. It is truly a cocktail spoon with the correct dimensions for that purpose. The twisted shaft is an extra nice feature that permits proper blending without overly disturbing the contents. Perfect for the well-equipped bar.

What a difference a "weighted-end" mixing spoon makes

I've used everything from teaspoons to chopsticks to mix cocktails in the past, but no more! Not sure why I decided to try this spoon, but I'm glad I did. I don't often need the spoon, but the weight on the other end makes it much easier to plough through lots of ice and get whatever's on the bottom of your drink (a well-squeezed lime?) rolling and tumbling around. Especially useful when you've adde Bitters to a Highball. Only reason I gave it four stars is because it's not what you'd call heirloom quality. But it is utility-grade quality, and that gets the job done!

This works great. It has a nice weight to it, which is great for getting a good stir in a big glass of ice, and it doesn't bend easily. It feels nice and high quality in the hand. It seems to be all one piece or have really imperceptible seams, so I'm pretty confident it gets completely clean. The only thing I wish it had was a forked end to get cherries and olives out of the jar so that I don't have to get a separate utensil or rinse the spoon end to get a garnish. However, that's really minor, and most bar spoons don't have a forked end anyway. Looking forward to using this for years to come.

This is a very nice professional quality bar spoon, and it is sturdy. The end opposite the spoon has a counterweight thicker metal area that adds balance to the bar spoon. The shaft is spiraled, which provides control over the position of the bar spoon and makes it easy to spin the bar spoon, should spinning be desired. When working with glassware, you want this bar spoon because it's easy to maintain positive control and it does everything a bar spoon should do.

The bowl is nicely shaped and cleanly formed, the stem is robust, straight and evenly twisted; the knob gives the right balance. The polish is right - Chrome bright on the shaft and knob, but restrained on the bowl, and the transition from stem to bowl is designerly.
