Works Well for Plasma Cutting

I bought these strictly for using with a plasma cutter. Overall I'm very happy with their performance.

The glasses work great for plasma cutting. You will need to be careful cleaning the lenses because they will scratch. Also, when it's cold inside the shop these fog up a bit. For off the shelf glasses these fit well. They have a nice padding on them around the eyes so that makes them comfortable.

I haven't any issues with "spotting" while using the plasma cutter. Eye protection seems to be more than adequate for that.

They are not large enough to fit over prescription eyeglasses as they fit rather tightly.

I love these glasses more then expected!!!!!

These are Green tinted shade 5 "welding"/safety glasses, (I personally wouldn't weld with anything below a shade 13 but that's me) these are great for when your ware plasma or oxy cutting or grinding.

They have a soft padded guard around the eye wells so that its harder for debris fly up in the eye while doing anything but sitting at the water cooler. I would not count on it to block everything but it blocks most everything.

These are extremely awesome when I first wake up and have to take my dog out and tie her up first thing in the morning as well as late at night while I'm playing with fire and molten metal in the shop.

Definitely would buy again as well as if they came out with a higher shade tint so I could stop getting flashed when walking by people...

Really good for use when auto tint hood does not react fast enough such as during tacking several places per minute.

My son has the auto tint welding hood which I think all welders like. The only problem was when he was tack welding 20-30 spots per minute, the shield could not always keep up giving his eyes the flash. This was causing major discomfort and was actually really bad for his eyes. These were recommended by his boss to wear under the hood to protect when the hood could not react fast enough. My son noticed instant relief and said that these are the way to go if you are running into the same situation. Glasses are comfortable as they come with a soft weatherstrip applied to the inside where the frame touches your face.

For the small difference in price, buy OEM unless you find replacement retinas on Amazon; then go ahead and burn yours up!

They are cooler than a helmet but more hassle between cuts because I worry about breaking them.

I am not a wear-on-top-of-the-head type so I always carry them to a shelf.

These safety glasses will scratch, but I guess it is expected when items hit them. I would say the scratch resistant coating is designed to prevent scratches from lens tissues but not actual debris. It did prevent the debris from entering the eye, so that is a good thing. For the price, they are worth owning even if they are not used for welding.

I really like the snug fit of the protective padding around the eyes to keep debris out unlike older or less expensive shade 5 glasses i have used in the past. I also like the mirrored look for the lens , they have the appearance of standard sunglasses. the clear plastic shipping container works well to have a place to put the glasses after your done to prevent scratches and dirt. overall nice fit ,comfortable , correct shade 5 , stylish , and i would them purchase again.

These are a great purchase for the price, I use them when using an acetylene torch and they help tremendously, do not use them for welding! The fit is good, they do not fall off, they are very comfortable and stylish looking. The only down side to these is they have a tendency to fog up. I’d purchase again.
