Had a particularly difficult metal model (Fateweaver from 40k) that would not stay together regardless of how much I tried to glue it together. Decided to take a stab at pinning the pieces together and I found this quickly on Amazon. It worked perfectly. Using the third largest bit I was able to insert a length of paperclip wire into the two pieces that were giving me trouble and voila. Some patience is required, but for the price it is exactly what I was looking for.

As a hobbyist modeler, this little tool comes in so handy when needing to drill small holes in plastic models. I haven't used it for anything else, but the quality of this item leads me to believe that I would have no issues with any small projects. A bit of warning, the smallest drill bit is crazy small, so even the slightest movement in the wrong direction will have it broken in about 2 seconds!

Does what it should. I was spoiled by other pin vises in the past that had a spinning palm rest. Unfortunately, this does not while I assumed it did, and the metal seems to be a lower quality. Seems to work fine, bits are a little frail. Felt a bit like one I'd get from the dollar store. Still worth the price, I'd say. Was shipped and received very fast. Seller was great.

Very low quality. The cross section that bites down on the drill bit is off center, giving the already fragile drill bits a better chance to break due to never being able to center the bits. The end cap for the compartment that holds all of the drill bits constantly screws loose when turning the vise counter clockwise, it would have been better to weld this part on and have the intended compartment be opened and closed through the tip where the cross section is held; which it already has. Finally, the etched grip is either a little large or it doesn't work well with the type of metal used, causing irritation to the index and thumb..

I've had this for just less than a month and a bit has already broken. At the time of this posting, this product is $13. A price that just walks the line of not worth the money. If you absolutely need a pen vise right now and you cannot afford a better one currently, this would be alright I suppose. If you are starting to get into a hobby and are wanting to buy a pen vise cheap, wait a little longer and buy a better quality one.
