I'm not a hockey player but I do buy hockey pucks. I have several retro Pioneer stereo systems. I use the hockey pucks to create additional space between the receiver and the component above it. This prevents heat build-up in the receiver resulting in longer life on the electronics. Stereo stores sell similar items that do the same thing. However, they run about $100 for set of four. These hockey pucks work perfect AND they have the added advantage of reducing floor vibration to the stereo components. I've used hockey pucks for years for this alternate purpose and they work perfectly. It's something to think about if you have stereo gear that gets warm/hot when the power is turned on.

Rubber hockey pucks have alternate uses

Many cars have a plastic insert in the spots along the lower frame that take the car jack when changing a tire or working under the car. If you use a jack stand at these points, you will most likely destroy these inserts over time.
I used a band saw to cut a rectangle into the hockey pucks so that they fit into this insert and thus protect them when using a jack stand. I also use them on the pad portion of a floor jack to protect the frame when lifting the car.
If you do this yourself, you assume all risk. Dangerous if done improperly.

Just kidding with the headline. I don't use these for hockey, I use them on my floor jacks to lift from the pinch weld. I glue two together with super glue, cut out a slit that is shallower than the depth of the pinch weld and these pucks are good to go. Super glue absolutely bonds these like you would not believe. I was skeptical at first, but not now. I have used purpose-made rubber pucks, but ended up slitting or shifting like a hybrid marshmallow. These work perfectly.

I used these to bolt together the cab and bed of my '77 F-100 on a Crown Vic chassis. There was just 1" between the cab and the bed so I drilled a 1/2" hole in the center of the puck, drilled holes in the cab and bed and added a 3" x 1/4" flat washer on each side. It really helped to stiffen up the entire truck.

I searched for leg levelers to use with a bench that's in an area where looking good is important. None of them would do either because of look or function and some consideration for the price I'd be paying for less than excellent results.
For a few dollars and a small amount of drilling these did the trick. I used these with a carriage bolt, a long nut, and a felt pad to make levelers for all four legs of long, narrow, and heavy bench.

As regards the product, they are rubber hockey pucks, what more can I say?

I believe hockey pucks make the best bench leg levelers

Bought these hockey pucks to use under my washer and dryer as anti-vibration pads and to keep the units from "walking" across the floor. Much cheaper than buying actual anti-vibration pads and they worked much better.

They're hockey pucks, there are 4 of them. Rubber is excellent quality and using for two projects. One is to help safely jack up car on metal welds and the other to create a dive bezel removal tool. Considering that the jack stand supports cost 4 times more than a single puck and the watch tool costs about 40 times more than single puck I'd say these 4 pucks are an amazing value. No idea how they perform as hockey pucks.

So I don't actually use these for hockey. I used them for a rubber pad on car jacks. The vulcanized rubber is durable and prevents undercoating damage.
