Truly beautiful wood, but I carry concealed in Florida, one of the hottest and most humid states in the nation during summer, and extreme amounts of sweat (I suspect) caused the seams along the back to spread apart ever so slightly. Only perfectionists would have a problem with it, but unfortunately I'm one of those and bought the G10 scales to replace these. The G10 scales fit perfectly, grip perfectly, and are the scales I have decided to keep on my P229R for the long haul.

Got a pair of Hogue Sig Sauer grips for my P228 9mm Sig and they fit perfectly with NO adjustment necessary! They make the gun look like a museum piece instead of just another Sig pistol.... The feel is nice in the hand and the wood is super fine... I liked them so much I got them for all my Sigs (three P229s and 2 P228s)......

Beautiful grip! But not for the small of hand. If you have problems holding a Glock double stack, this grip is too big. Fit and finish, as they say in gun magazines, is perfect. Night and day difference in the original grips and this set. Perfect! Fantastic! Gorgeous! Those words come up short.
