Then 9 years later he comes back to Bar Harbor and expects everything to go the way he thinks it should. Thankfully after 11 years Ashley doesn't want anything to do with Josh! However, since she wants only the best for Kevin, she allows Josh in Kevin's life. Only it seems that, not every time, but 8 out of 10 Josh bails on Kevin and leaves her to handle the situation. Well her brother Brandon is opening up another one of his hotels in Vienna and finally talks her into going for the opening! Granted she will only be in Vienna for two days, but she has a plan to get the most out of her time. The first morning she is there Brandon calls to see if she can have breakfast with him. They have just sat down at a lovely street Cafe and ordered when he gets an SOS from his assistant and he has to leave right then! He explains to Ashley on the way what is happening and when they get several city blocks away they can hear why the police are demanding that something be done right away! Not only is Nash Hardwin the entertainer Brandon has brought in for his opening, but he is secretly Ashley's fantasy man, she loves his songs, which undoubtedly so does everyone outside the hotel, with the crowd getting bigger by the minute. So when they get to the penthouse, Nash is furious! Brandon had promised him that no one would find out he was there! When Brandon suggests a solution, at first Ashley is adamant she can't do it, then her brother, being as pervasive as ever gets both Ashley and Nash to agree! What is the solution? Hold on to My Heart, is Bella Andre’s latest story in the Sullivan Family, and is a wonderful addition! Nash, a country/rock singing sensation, who has no sense of home meets small-town single mom, Ashley, with a huge family and a son who means the world to her. Their meeting in enchanting Vienna, and subsequent day spent together is just the beginning of a heartfelt addition to the Sullivan chronicles. It demonstrates everything this large, kindhearted, and protective family is. I love the Sullivans and would like very much to be friends with any or all of them. Bella captivates you with her characters and draws you into their world as they work through whatever is thrown their way. I love the protectiveness of Ashley’s brothers, but at the same time wanted to smack them in the head for being so overbearing. While they like Nash and describe him as a good man, they don’t think he is good enough for their sister and not afraid to let everyone know it.

Nash has quite the past to overcome. Things he did in his youth through anger and frustration led to jail time and a reputation as a bad boy. Not the best character for a single mom trying to protect her son! He really understands how he can affect Ashley and Kevin, and that says he is unselfish and really has her best interests at heart.

Ashley is every bit as protective of her son as her brothers are for her… (see it runs n the Sullivan family). Her ex, the scoundrel in this opposites attract romance must be put in his place, and Nash is willing to let Ashley take the lead, stand up for herself and her son, and be there as support.

I’ve loved the Sullivan stories, ALL 22 of them!!! You can jump in at any point and don’t need to read the previous books to enjoy this story, but I know you will want to go back and read all of them once you start. They are a huge family with branches in San Francisco, Seattle, NY, Maine, London, and hmmm, maybe more! I know when I open a Sullivan book, I have many hours of time well spent.

They talked about everything and nothing at the same time. When a Sullivan falls, they fall hard and fast, the question is, will Nash trust himself to fall too? Nash was a pop star who in his younger years had been in prison and did drugs etc. He was always travelling with his profession, but he had no immediate family to hold him anywhere. He meets Ashley sullivan, but even though they get on this be come between them. Good storyline , as are all the Sullivan series books
