Julian showed the greatest changes, and I love that even though it's been a love story for most of the way, now is when Julian *got it* and understood that he could love and does love Nora. Nora had to come to terms with how she's adapted to this lifestyle and to be partnered with a man like Julian (not to say she hasn't been working on that part all along). I did enjoy getting to know her parents better as well as some of the supporting characters.
Sad that their story is over, but really loved it. It wasn't without sadness, although I'm glad that it did end as a HEA.
We get to see a more compassionate Julian in Hold Me (don't think he loses any of his possessiveness towards Nora nor any of the darkness he holds). We also get to see a stronger and bolder Nora (she still willingly submits to her love with absolute passion though!). I'm glad Anna made the changes over the couple growing together a gradual process. It made it seem more realistic and lasting.
I won't give any spoilers, but the characters do have to face a few misunderstandings, unshared feelongs, another group of people intending to destroy them, and a huge surprise that could drive them apart.
I couldn't have hoped for a better last book. When I noticed Hold Me on my Kindle this morning, I dropped the other book I was reading and became captivated in the story. I hope some day we'll get to see Nora and Julian in a related book!
This, unfortunately was my least favorite of the three books. Don't get me wrong, it was still great, but there were things that rode on my nerves. It also seemed a little slow, but once it hit past 60% it really took off and I absolutely loved the last 30%.
Downside: Nora (who I LOVED in the previous 2), annoyed me to no end in this one. I get that the guy kidnapped you, but after professing your undying love and saving his life in the previous book, you no longer should keep saying "my kidnapper" CONSTANTLY. Seriously, we all know what he did in the first book, but you went with him WILLINGLY in book 2. Remember, Nora? Cause we do. Now, she's back to being confused and calling him "Kidnapper" at least 25 times each chapter. Her self pity got on my nerves.
Again, Nora you chose this. Willingly
I was sad we didn't get more "Badass Nora"...She made an all too brief appearance in the last part of the book. She was awesome in that air field
Also, the epilogue should have been longer. Just seeing her graduate was nice, but it should have contained more.
That being said, I'm very sad this is the end of Julian and Nora. I LOVED these guys immensely!
I look forward to the continuation of other characters
10. The story picks up right where the second one ended. Which is the aftermath of Julian and Nora's interaction with the terrorist.
9. Hot sex scenes.
8. Some surprises that I did not see coming.
7. Get to know Nora's parents a little more.
6.Some questions are answered about what happened before Nora was kidnapped.
5. Julian does something that I was not expecting.
4. Some last quarter of the book is pretty action packed.
5.Nora has a transformation due to the influence that Julian has had on her.( I am not going to tell you because that would be a spoiler)
4. Julian reveals a side to himself because of something that happens in the book that is interesting. Hmm, makes you wonder!
3. Twist and turns
2. It's a trilogy
1. The HEA is a realistic one and I could see that happening.
Now, you have seen my list it is time to go read the book!!!
