I struggled with this book, really struggled. Quinn is best friends with Luke, they ace been since they were young kids, but now she is with Jake, Luke's older brother and they are having a (whoopsie) baby. Luke is in love with Quinn though and so was Quinn for a long time but neither knew the others feelings and it was never acted on. Now Luke resents his brother for being with the girl he loves. Quinn is perfect, she looks perfect, she acts perfect, she cooks perfect, she has the perfect pregnancy, the perfect wedding and she and Jake have the perfect, sickening romance. For 70% of the book it's gushy perfect romance. The other 30% is pointless, there is a tragedy, and its wrapped so quickly and just seems the whole book is kinda pointless. I don't know how else to explain it, I was waiting for something exciting to happen and it didn't, even the important stuff was rushed through. There is a sequel in this book, not sure if ill read it. I recommend this book for lovers of romance stories with very little guts.

Holding On was an okay book. I felt bored with it through out most of the book until the end.
I didn't like the fact that you didn't get to see any of the romance build up between Quinn and Jake. And even though Luke was in love with her, nothing was ever done. It was only ever talked about.

Then Quinn and Jake are getting married, and it was like there wasn't any major drama going on. So in my opinion the plot was good, but the book was boring. The ending was the best part, but it took a huge dramatic tragedy to put some "fire" into the book.

I know there is a sequel to this one, but I won't be reading it. This book was just not for me.

this book was so disappointing to me. poorly developed characters, long boring stretches, and then the predictable conclusion. I was just waiting for how they crashed and burned. falsely tear jerking manipulation. I won't be spending money on the sequel.

Not only was this book free, but it was also a really good read. I bought the sequel, Letting Go, and was not disappointed with that book, either.

What did I like about it? The characters were well developed, the plot was good and strong, and I didn't get bored reading it. I actually had tears a few times and I'm not usually a book-cryer. The writing was also very good and had very few grammatical errors.

I saw on the author's blog that there would be a third book, Unraveled, coming about. It will be about Quinn's sister. I am looking forward to reading that book. I couldn't find the author's page on Facebook. It would be nice if she had a page and posted updates.

I really enjoyed this book and definitely will be purchasing the second of the series and finding out the rest of the story. I liked that it was a sweet story that made you feel love for the characters before tragedy struck. It made you enjoy getting to know them. I really like Quinn and I think I'm going to really like her sister as well. I see that Meg is going to write a book about Carly and I can't wait to read that!

Quinn & Luke have been best friends since they were young. When Luke's brother Jake ask's Quinn out, she says yes. Luke is so upset because he has been in love with Quinn for years but has never taken the step to tell her. When Quinn finds out she is pregnant she is afraid to tell jake. Jake is so happy about the baby, he takes her out for a romantic picnic in the park & asks her to marry him. He has been planning this for a while.
Luke & Jake's relationship has been strained and Luke barely even speaks to Quinn. It is really hard for them all. But finally Jake & Luke seem to be working things out between the two of them. Will things ever work out between Quinn and Luke? When disaster strikes will their friendship pull them through? Read this book you will not be disappointed!!!

I kind of liked this story, but I like the gushy romances, anyway. This story was sweet and heartbreaking at the same time. I can see where a situation like the one the characters went through could really happen. I've been in a relationship before with a similar ordeal, but not between brothers! Anyway, I was a bit sad that it ended and though I got this book for free on my kindle, I didn't really want to pay for the others, so I just accepted that it ended and moved on. It was a good story, though.

Meg Jolie spins a wonderful tale of two brothers and the girl they both love. Through her writing, the characters come to life. The closeness of Sarah and her sister, the self-centeredness of their mother, and the bond between brothers Luke and Jake all seem real. This was the first of Meg's books I've read, but It certainly won't be the last! If you like a good love story, this is it.
