I belive I have found my new favorite series. I cant wait to read Griz and Deanna's story next.
Yes, there is language, and some violence. Most of that language is coming from Zara's best friend Deanna. "Hell Mouth" was a nickname that she is given and it is one that she has earned! But the "f" word does appear in the story and not just from her.
Most of the "guys" call her hellcat after seeing her interaction with Talon. He's the only one who he calls Kitty and there is a story behind that. It was good to see how much Talon cared about Zara and her daughter.
There were plenty of surprises and twists to the story which I enjoyed. The humor is also something that was unexpected but enjoyable. Also some of the secondary characters were pretty good too.
I'm a big fan of MC books. I love the danger, badassery, alpha male characters in them and Talon was exactly that. He complimented Zara in every way. He was modest to her quirkiness, strong when she was weak, and protective like a real man should be. His bossiness (even though in real life is hate it) was entertaining and understandable. And Zara was hilarious. She reminds me of myself with her humor and quips. Once she got her head wrapped around her and Talon, she was also a fierce girlfriend not letting another girl swoop in without a fight. And the other characters were amazing. The funny best friend, the tough VP, the gay brother and his boyfriend (which never happens in an MC book but really worked in this one) and the strain between characters. I loved this book. However, it took me a few chapters to get into it.
