#Holiday takes place over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and is the first time the "Family" is spending the holiday together. We get to see both Romeo and Braeden's points of view in this book and I didn't think it was possible, but I may have fallen in love with them just a bit more!
Romeo being Romeo does everything in his power to make the holiday special for Rimmel and to keep up with some of the traditions she had growing up. He's sweeter than sweet and you can see after everything that has happened with these two, the love he has for her keeps growing. I loved being inside his head when they got stuck and him thinking about her driving his car. No one trusts Rim to drive any of their vehicles and it's quite hilarious.
Braeden is totally in love with his baby girl Nova, and his love for Ivy continues to get stronger and stronger. Seeing him with his daughter is absolutely amazing, and how he treats Ivy is beautiful. He works hard to show her she is the most important person in his life and I may have swooned when he was trying to tell her.
I have come to love these characters as if they were real, and I loved that Cambria Hebert gave us a short story so we could get more of Braeden, Ivy, Romeo, Rimmel, Drew and Trent, because well... these characters are just awesome. This book definitely needs to be read if you're a fan of the #Hashtag series. It's a very quick read that had me laughing and falling in love with the guys all over again, oh and the recipes at the end of the book... definitely going to be making some of those this season!
Since the moment I first began reading #Nerd, I knew that I was a goner. I knew that this series was going to pull me in and not let go. I'm happy to say that this assumption was 100% correct. There is absolutely nothing about these books that I do not like.
#Holiday was a short story that Cambria wrote for us as a kind of gift. I don't think any of us were ready to let go of our hashtag family and we had never spent a holiday with them, so Cambria decided to give us a treat. I'm really happy that she decided to this because #Holiday is super cute, super sexy and fits perfectly in the Hashtag world. We got a little glimpse into their lives after #Heart and got to meet a perfect little character that we all knew would be absolutely amazing.
I love that we also got a little more time with Trent and Drew, considering, #Junkie, the first book in their spinoff series GearShark will be out in January. I am almost more excited for #Junkie than I have been for any of the Hashtag books because of the romantic aspect of it. I've been waiting for Cambria to do a book like this and my wishes have finally come true. It was neat to see how the two interacted with one another, knowing in advance what their relationship is going to somewhat be like.
Overall, this short story was amazing and perfectly up to par with the rest of the series. I loved it so much and I'm sad to see it all go. It was the perfect end to a perfect series.
Oh, and don't close the story too fast! Cambria included all kinds of yummy festive recipes in the back! You don't wanna miss those. :)
Rating: 5 Stars.
Favorite Character: Literally, every single one. I'm not joking.
I love, love, love this whole series, so one more hashtag book made my day! If you have not read this series, I strongly recommend all of them! Cambria Hebert totally nails the feelings of the young people in these novels and reminds all of us that true, everlasting love can happen at any age. One of the more important aspects in these books is that the characters speak in the vernacular of their ages. I cannot recommend these books enough!
With all of the things that have gone on over the past two years, the friends are hoping to have a special, private, holiday together. All of your favorites are here. Following football, getting together at holidays seems mandatory.
After the short story concludes, there are yummy recipes to be tried and eaten. This series is really magic and gets you ready for the new series that follows, GearShark. I love this series and this story fits perfect. The food recipes are the perfect bonus. Almost like a Christmas gift form the author.
The recipes at the back of the book sounded delicious and our family will definitely be giving them a try!
If you have not started the series start from the beginning and fall in love with the #Hashtag series.
