I also had issues with the story it self. Paige is hit with a sex tape being released. She is being blackmailed by people who want her to marry Ryder and those who want to ruin Ryder. She loses no matter what. Ryder doesn't stand by her through any of this book. He goes off on her all the time and she just takes it. When he realizes he loves her and she has FINALLY walked away from him he decides the only way to keep her and talk her into marrying him is to pray on her worst fear. He uses her pregnancy to get what he wants and she caves. Then when he finally tells her he loves her she doesn't respond instantly in the way he wants he storms of in a snit. He remains distant from her for a week, no communications at all. When he finally gets over his snit he drags her off to get married. There isn't any real apology or explanation and she just accepts it. By the time I finished this book I was so frustrated with how it played out that even though I like other books by this author I hated this book.
I reviewed the previous book and I still feel the same way. $10 is way too much to spend on one storyline of two books that with good editing could have been one book, especially for an e-book.
I did really enjoy this book. But I had to take it down to 4 stars for the same stupid unnecessary cliffhanger. It was very well written, had great twists, and was engaging.
I would still recommend this book to anyone who enjoys cliffhangers, billionaires, hot eye candy men and Hollywood atmosphere. $10 is just not for me and I will read no other books in this series. But I would love to read her single book stories.
Paige is such a strong woman character which I haven't seen a lot of lately. She's not the typical female character either. She's more normal. Ryder is Hollywood's resident playboy with the most screwed up family I have ever read about.
The plot on this one follows flawlessly with the events from book 1. There's an added suspense factor with some blackmail and shady handling from Mira. There's also the push and pull of Paige and Ryder decifering there feelings for one another because none of it was supposed to be real. All in all a great read and grrat conclusion for one of my new favorite couples.
This story leaves me with more questions than it answers. What happens with Julian's threats, what about Mira's? Are they going to be featured in Elliott's story? Why is his story three books.?
If this bok had an epilogue out would of made me one happier reader
