Great light weight easy to install bluetooth car stereo on a budget.

I create portable stereos for Different people. Some are the beach and some for off grid living. One of my issues is compact size. This unit blew me away with the size. The deck its self is normal standard size but the depth is nearly one third the size. One thing to Note is this is a very light weight unit. It can do most of the standard powering. It can handle bass and subs very well on its won but it doesn't have the strength to go all out.

This would make a great starter deck or a fast replacement for an old car that needed an upgrade. For this cost you cant beat it. This latest project i call stereo in a box. Its a chest with mounted speakers, solar panels, car deck, solar charger with outputs for external speakers aka subs. There is more to it than that but i needed a stereo.

The quality of audio on these even hooked up to 2 flat screen TV speakers sounds wonderful. Perfect bass i tested each speaker line. One thing to note there is no custom EQ and the presets are not that great the classical and Rock seem sot be the only usable settings rest not so much if at all.

The Bluetooth setting linked to my phone within seconds and it remembered my phone so i didn't have to connect each time i turned the car on. The aux port was a bit stiff plugin in but i have had head units that needed a break in. The display is bright and clear. the key buttons light up and the configuration for the presets are easy to set with a simple press and hold.

The wires are as basic and simple as they come. Some times its confusing what color is what they mark it with numbers and show pictures as to what position each number is. What i like is they grouped them front left front right rear left rear right so its really easy to know which is which if your new to this. This deck also has very minimal battery drain. i had it playing off a small 12 volt battery for roughly 6 hours and barely scratched the bank.

I'm not a car guy so i cant really tell you much more than this. Its basic its well made and very lightweight. If you want something simple to install and replace and old unit with a nice look this is for you. All in all i like it and this is going in my list of company's to buy from for my next builds. If anything changes i will let you know till than have a great day.

Buttons are junky but that's no big deal. My issue is that I can't play music via USB while I'm charging my phone which makes no sense. I don't like Bluetooth cause it drains my battery so I try to avoid it, but now I have no choice. Also, the volume for Bluetooth music is WAY lower than the volume of the radio. I had to turn my volume up to like 40 when playing music over Bluetooth, and then when I accidentally switched to the radio, it just about blew my ears out. And yes, the volume on my phone was turned up. I don't understand why you would put a USB on it if it only charges your phone but not play music. You have to point the remote directly at the player for it to work. I tried Velcro-ing my remote onto the center of my steering wheel so I can hit the Next or Volume button without taking my hand off the wheel, but it doesn't work unless I point it at the player. This stereo is okay for value, but I'm going to return it because it does too many things that make no sense. I haven't tried the calling feature yet. The manual is also very vague and the instructions for installation are very vague too. They aren't detailed at all. My dad installed it for me so I can't comment on if it was easy or not. Another annoying thing is that it only displays the time for a few seconds when you press the clock button. I would like it to stay on all the time except when tuning the radio or whatever. Also, the words are very close together. Instead of saying "FM1 103.1" it'll say "FM1103.1". When displaying the time, it says "PM12:30" instead of "12:30 PM." Not the biggest deal but definitely unpleasant looking. It's confusing when youre looking for a station and 103.1 looks like 1103.1. The reception isn't that great though, I barely get any stations. The display isn't that bright either. I do like how fast the Bluetooth connects. I'm not that impressed. I'd rather spend $20 more and get the features I want. I chose this one because of the ability to change the colors as opposed to the other $30 stereos on here. If you just want basic functions, this is great.

UPDATE: I've had this installed for 2 days now. It skips the first 1-5 seconds of every song, skips during songs. And when I shuffle a playlist, I'll hear one song, then a few others, then it'll play the first one again. I'm sending this back. This stereo is ONLY good for people who want to charge their phone and play songs but don't care too much about quality. It would be good for easy listening or podcasts. I'm, buying the $50 Pioneer stereo on here and I will update this with a comparison next week.

I love that this radio doesn't have a CD player, since I dont use cds anyway. I use Bluetooth with spotify. And because there's no CD player, this radio is as light as a feather. But don't think that because of the light weight, that its a piece of garbage. This radio cranks. It's easy to work and easy to configure. Not worth it unless you have $28 and no other options

This unit does "work" but obviously isn't a name brand receiver (JVC, Kenwood, Sony, Pioneer etc). Packaging is minimal and instruction manual is very limited. I was successful in testing its function. The provided wiring harnesses hooked up effortlessly to a Scoche Toyota harness. My two problems with this machine were 1. This stereo does not get loud enough also for my tastes and 2. It does not have the standard bolt holes in the side to mount onto my existing DIN receiver. The name brand unit that replaced it did and was mounted effortlessly. For $28, its hard to say this machine doesn't have value but the only use I could see for it would be a boat/golf cart stereo for someone on a budget. I can't help but think that some of these reviews are fake. I have seen Chinese manufacturers put up fake reviews in other product lines to bolster sales.
