Well Charlotte Has come a long way in her struggle to find her path for her life she has struggled to break through her painful abusive childhood, her disfuntional relational ship with her former boyfriend, and her faith with God. Now she is walking a much better path and she feels she is ready to take the next step toward a better life.
Then out of nowhere a long lost relative appears in Charlotte 's life and her path is not so clear yet again. Can her faith stay strong and still help this relationship grow?
Daniel wants so much for Charlotte to be the one for him but how far can he push her before she gets scared and walks. Can they come together or will the problems with their families be to much and tear them apart? This series has touched on the struggles of mental health, childhood abuse and overcoming that through faith. Beth Wiseman has taken us on a journey of faith and love through these charaters. It's amazing to watch someone grow into Gods child and his path for them. A must read
Charlotte is English, has a rude sister and niece, a boyfriend, and lots of other Amish friends. It is the story of her overcoming her troubled past, embracing Christianity, and learning to trust God. All of it feels lame. I have loved Wiseman’s other books but felt this one was l-o-n-g. There seemed to be lots of side stories with the main characters shallow. They spoke of deep feelings but somehow it didn’t ring true.
I liked the book ok but wouldn’t really recommend it.
