Top review from the United States

The book started with a monologue of the use of he him and his vs. she her and hers, which I thought doesn't really matter. Most people can see through the he/she and if not maybe the won't get much from the book in any case. This book will not tell you what to charge, it really doesn't even tell you how to figure out what to charge. It is designed to give the inspector ideas, reasons and encouragement and justification for asking for reasonable inspection fees. I dinged the book 1 star (no half star option) for the annoying typos that slow down the reader. Mostly missing words. There is a nugget or two for any inspector however, I think the book is a little over priced since it only skims over pricing models. It does offer the pros and cons of different price models. It doesn't go into detail with regards to adding all expenses and desired profits divided by target number of inspections to arrive at inspection fee. That model has not work so well either because I can't control the number of inspections exactly.
Overall the book offers some food for thought, it does not offer a formula for figuring out where an inspector should price his services. It is slightly over priced but may be a deductible in the end. The graphs at the back of the book lack contrast so it is difficult to discern the information given. I have been a subscriber of the authors newsletter for about a year and have found it to be useful and generous with ideas.
