About the Author
Mike Hartman invested decades in the corporate environment, gaining experience in sales, operations, and many levels of management, eventually leading to the position of General Manager for a multi-million dollar branch office. After many occurrences of buy-outs, downsizings and mergers, his entrepreneurial spirit took over. Not wanting just a job, but a satisfying career through business ownership, he sought an industry that would fulfill his passion to help others and discovered a new and growing industry. Cindy Hartman has a vast corporate background in administration, human resources, training, marketing, and finance. The industries in which she was employed are just as varied, including manufacturing, education, retail, distribution, and environmental. Her writing skills are evidenced through two company blogs and newsletters. She developed two courses that have been approved for continuing education units: “An Attorney’s Guide to Estate Inventory” and “Why Your Clients Need to Know What You Own” for Accountants and CPAs. She is a Diamond Expert Author for EzineArticles.com, an Expert Author for RetireNet.com, and contributing author for BizyMoms.com. This wide range of experience served the couple well in late 2004 as they pursued their entrepreneurial dream, starting their first company, Hartman Inventory. They are also owners of Nationwide Inventory Professionals, a premier Business Package and Licensing Agreement which assist other who have a desire for business ownership as well. The Hartmans' interest in the home inventory industry was developed as is a result of having been burglarized … twice. Experiencing the difficulty of the insurance claims process and knowing the resulting potential loss after a burglary, fire or natural disaster, they have made it their mission to share the importance of knowing what you own with business owners, renters and home owners.
