Rena is a real sweet heart, who's always made it her mission to help get the Andrades brothers back together as a loving and caring family again. She didn't bargain falling in love with Nick along the way though, which just happens to fuel that fire to succeed in her mission, all that much more important now.
Nick started off as a jet-setting playboy. He soon becomes bored with that lifestyle, though and ends up working with Gio at the family owned company. He's not only learning the ropes of the business, but also all the cold hard fact truths about his family. But he never would have expected that by turning his life around, that he would also find himself falling head over heels for Rena, in the process.
The mother, Patrice is a troublemaker with some kind of wicked secret that only her husbands cousins know about. She likes to play these stupid emotional games against her four sons, why?, I still have no idea what-so-ever. None of the secrets ever really get revealed in this book, so I guess with this being part of a series, the fans will have to wait to find out those facts in the last book.
Overall I thought the beginning of the story I thought was really good. But.....just as the story is starting to really develop it becomes, in my opinion, too much sex and the story gets sort of lost. Don't get me wrong; I love a good sex scene like anyone else, but....IMO--- chapter after chapter of wild sex scenes was a bit over the top, almost to the point that it started to drowned out the story.
Whew, a very sexy rich bad boy. He's not a one woman man by any means, but he is willing to give it a try on Saturdays that is with Rena Sanders that is. He is ready to grow up, take his office at the family company Cogent he never goes into and be responsible. He does want the wife and kids one day. He doesn't know when that will be. But he is willing to stat with the one day a week and be with one woman! But as things go and they are threatened to be exposed as they were keeping it a secret, he will do anything to keep her protected. It is then he realizes just how much he has really grown up!
Confident, loving and a sweet caring person to any person. She has know the Andrade family her whole life and has had a school girl crush on Nick since her 16th birthday when he sent her one request for her birthday which was a slip and slide to her party! Her parents insisted on just the formal affair!! Nick sent the slip and slide on his own and had it delivered, and then showed up after the delivery coming from college just in time to see her parents 'glare' at him, and then left the party. He even had changing tents sent for the kids. But Rena stayed inside and never did enjoy the greatest gift of that BD.
At any rate, back to present time she plays by the rules and never having been in love before she thinks if she keeps sex contained to one day with Nick it will protect her heart. Nick finally realizes he has grown up when he has to protect the woman he loves at all cost.
Ruth Cardello, pulls into her novels at the first page in my opinion and her books are page turners. It will be hard to wait until paid day to buy books 3, 4, 5!!! I just love the Andrades! We met them in the Legacy series from the first book Maid for the Billionaire.
I really encourage you to get this book to read Rena & Nick's story. This book revisits many of Ruth Cardello's past heroes and heroines from her other stories. If you like romance, secret hot encounters, family interaction along with family secrets, humor and a HEA, this book is for you. Ruth Cardello's writing is a winner in my book!! Looking forward to many more books by Ruth. An auto buy for me!!!
The women that catch the heart of these Andrade men are in for one wild ride. I'm so intrigued by Max's problem now that I can't wait to find out what kind of woman can tame him. That mother of theirs, wow - what has made her so freaking crazy and scorned that she would use and hurt her own children that way repeatedly! I'm be waiting 'not so patiently' for more of your wonderful Andrade Men!
