HomeSpot Bluetooth Adapter for Nintendo Switch is the FIRST gaming Bluetooth transmitter that can stream Qualcomm AptX Low Latency audio to two headphones/speakers simultaneously.
Note:
- This product supports SBC, aptX and aptX Low Latency. When used with non-aptX headphones/speakers, the standard SBC will be used.
- This product cannot be used when protective casing is installed on the Switch.

Qualcomm aptX Low Latency supported
The HomeSpot Bluetooth Transmitter supports the SBC, Qualcomm aptX and Qualcomm aptX Low Latency codecs. aptX Low Latency audio stream has a delay of 30-40ms which is undetectable by human ears. Note: aptX or aptX Low Latency will only be used when the paired headphones/speakers support it.

Most of us probably know by now but this thing is not compatible with the new Switch Lite. For whatever reason, there's too small nubs that prevent the USB from making full contact with the port. I've included a picture showing the only way to make this thing work with the Switch Lite, which involves the included USB adapter and my own USB to USB-C adapter. Returning and going with another brand.

So I found this adapter, which came highly recommended from some connections. After about a week of usage, I couldn't be happier with the product. It was very easy to connect to my headphones, the sound is great, no noticeable lag and it comes with some extra accessories I didn't see myself using until I had them. The instructions that came with the box was pretty straightforward, simply plug in the device, power on your switch, push and hold a button and pair! Included with the box came a travel pouch (very convenient), a microphone that plugs into the headphone port for voice chat capability and a USB adapter for when you want to use your headphones while the Switch is docked.
Now some things I would point out comes down to the type of headphones you have, and making sure you do your research. In order to reduce the amount of audio lag, you'll want to make sure that your headphones are aptX or aptX LL capable. If not, then you'll experience some really bad lag. I used this product on three separate headphones and two of them have aptX codecs, so they worked perfectly fine. The third pair of headphones did not have aptX and the lag was definitely noticeable. So if you have older headphones, chances are they are not aptX capable.
Outside of BT technology limitations, the only "actual" negative about the product that I could find is that I couldn't use the kickstand on the Switch when this was plugged in. Sometimes I like to lay on the floor with the Joy Con Grip to play games, but you'll need to prop it against something.......not a big issue but I could see others running to this as well, especially those that travel on airplanes.
Overall, for only $40 it's a great solution to something Nintendo should've included from the start and I'm very happy with the results. I highly recommend this adapter for anyone wanting a wireless solution for their Switch.

omg brilliant. I LOVE this thing! Plays nicely with my Veccoo protective case on and with LG Tone Pro hbs 910 headphones with aptx. Also the switch with case and HomeSpot all fits within my PDP travel case. Audio is fantastically clear and without latency. Couldn't be happier. Buy it!
Update: after owning this thing for a week I still think it's the fantastic. I just want to point out though that it would not be a good idea to use this with a case on, even though as I pointed out above that it does work. The reason is that the HomeSpot can fall out easily, especially when the switch vibrates. So, take off your case or use tape to hold it in place if you decide to do this. It would be great if there were a custom case that allotted space for this.

Fortunately it works like a charm and the sound quality is cracking with my wireless headphones and very easy to pair so all good.
Just to note because it did not occur to me when I bought it that there are little bumps on the bottom that stop it working with the Switch Lite as shown in the photo.

But one the main let downs of the console is lack of Bluetooth connection to my headphones.
I would have loved to have been given the options to have either a wired or wireless connection.
To solve the problem a number of companies have released Bluetooth adapters, and after some research, I decided to try out the Homeport Bluetooth Adapter for Switch. Heres my review.

Like BMW and Mercedes, the build quality is very high, the plastic matching with the black of the Nintendo switch.
As you can see from the photos I purchase the sporty blue/red version. Standard business grey is also available.
Instructions to Pair are clear and they are currently paired with my Sony noise cancelling headset.
The sound is good and without delay. As I've only had the unit for 24 hours I haven't had the opportunity to test the power drain.
Comes with microphone headphone jack and USB-c to USB converter, which allows you to have wireless voice and connection to the dock if needed. Homespot also provides a cloth/padded mini bag which can be used to carry all three things. It can be closed using the velcro
The unit itself sits very well with the console and doesn't add any noticeable addition weight.
Three things which I would like to critique:
1. I had modified my hard case to allow this unit to be attached to the console. It also means it slightly stretches the carry case i story my switch in. Some users with smaller cases/hard cases might have to remove the unit.
2. The mini carry bag is the only thing that seems a little cheap. Maybe a leather one with embossed homespot? (personally subjective)
3. As the USB-c port is used up when the adapter is plugged in, you can't use a power bank or charger at the same time with it in.
Great wireless sound for the console that I love.
