Format: Kindle Edition
This story was so heart-wrenching and heart-warming! It's about a Captain who's newly back from Iraq. He lost some of his men when an IED went off. He's suffering from PTSD and survivor's guilt. But he has a mission - a promise he made to his best friend just before he died. He promised to keep his sister from going into the Mission Field in Iraq.

Then there's Hailey who's overcome with grief after losing her brother - the only remaining relative she had. She is rich and lives alone in a mansion, but nothing matters but doing what she sees as the work of God - in Iraq.

The two meet, and immediately chemistry erupts. The more time they spend together, the more in love they become. Lots of kisses and hugging tell us they are not going to hide from their feelings, but they aren't ready to deal with the new relationship yet. They are there for each other helping each other through. The book ends with mystery on how some things turn out, but sometimes in life we never know what road we're going to be taken down for years. The entire book was sweet since the author didn't choose to squash any romantic scenes with highly emotional deep-thinking. What a sweet, sweet story!

I think I have read all of Renee Ryan's books and I have found them all to be great stories, but that being said this story in my opinipn is above most books I have read the story reached out and grabbed me from the first sentence and didn 't let go until the end. I very seldom read a book twice but I have this one.
