The love story happened fast, but it wasn't unbelievable. I loved the interaction between the two. There were moments when I laughed out loud, and others when it pulled at my heart strings--like when Flippy's best friend was found murdered.
I loved that she solved the case, and although her actions at times were not brilliant--I won't spoil it--the author gave plenty of explanation for her motivations, making it believable.
It was fun and cute, and the love scenes were yummy without being too much. The perfect amount of sizzle.
I'm definitely buying the other book--Sixth Sense.
Wasn't sure if I was getting more of Crystal Ball Kate or what. Went ahead & bought Book 2. Truly disappointed that
there was hardly any Kate & Jack story within this mystery.
Also, what distracted me immensely was that the heroine of the story was not law enforcement & yet she thinks she
found the killer, doesn't tell authorities & walks directly into the killer's lair, so to speak. Kept thinking how stupid you can get.
Did like the interaction between the 2 main characters. Hopefully, Book 3 will actually revolve around Kate & Jack again.
Sorry if I spoiled the story for you, but that ruined the story for me. Before then I could go along with most of the author's style but to use most of the book to create a character, and then get her to do something that goes against that character's nature, is ridiculous.
I still gave this book three stars as the writing is good. If you don't mind stupid women you might like this book.
