I was so uplifted by the fact that this kid never gave up. He never descended into the madness of crime that would have made him just another statistic. Mr. Ross constantly fought with a natural resolve in order to be someone. He worked tirelessly day and night when the opportunity was presented to him, and his demand for a better life was finally met if only because of his amazing ability to just simply hold on. This young man is an inspiration to so many others that go through such horrific situations. He is a living testament to the power of transformation.
If anyone reading this wants a hero’s story of perseverance and redemption through unbelievable trials, then you will love reading the biography of Mr. Ross. I am so glad that I had the privilege of reading his story and hope that many others receive the same gift as well.
I highly recommend!
Anthony writes honestly about the life he led when he was living on the streets after his grandmother passed away, about the battles he's had to fight, about the loneliness of life on the streets. I have nothing but admiration for him. It takes a special sort of bravery and determination to pull yourself back up when you are alone and down. When one dreary follows another, when it's hard to see any future.
Anthony is someone that people can look up to as he went from a 13 year old on the street to attending College and Graduating

I enjoyed reading this book and wish I could share it with my students. This would be a great book for a middle or high school guidance group. Read morePublished 2 months ago by R. Campbell
