I had only ever had one previous experience with homemade popsicles made in a mold and, suffice to say, it was pretty awful. After reading the reviews of this product, I decided to make the purchase and try homemade popsicles again, because I love pure-fruit popsicles and the store-bought ones can get kind of expensive.

This popsicle mold far exceeded my expectations! It came with a small collapsible silicone funnel, cleaning brush, wooden and plastic/reusable sticks, and a silicone cover to hold the wooden sticks in place. Also included was a recipe book with some fancy-sounding, exotic recipe ideas (eg. “Spicy Arugula Jalapeño Pineapple”).

One review said the mold was sort of flimsy; it absolutely is not. Very sturdy, and reinforced extremely well, so it’s surprisingly heavy. Makes 10 popsicles, which is nice, and they come out very cleanly and easily if you just sit the mold in warm water for a little bit. You can slide all of them out, then put back any not being eaten right away, so they’ll slide out more easily later.

Five stars easy. I’ve got a batch of strawberry/banana/yogurt popsicles freezing right now and it looks like it’s going to be a great summer!

Worth The Purchase, But You'll Need Practice Pouring

SYNOPSIS
I'm a popsicle fiend -- I will go through an entire box of sugar-free popsicles in a single evening. (Give me a break, they're 15 calories each and I live in the South. It's hot!) That adds up, especially with grocery prices climbing rapidly. So I found a recipe for popsicles that are low-calorie and not pure ice (hint: use Sugar-Free Jell-O with concentrated Crystal Light), then decided to buy this popsicle tray. I'm very happy with my purchase. It will save me significant money with minimal effort. The kit comes with several excellent features, but it has a few poor design decisions that you should be mindful of.

1) The spigot funnel is not very large, so you would be best served to either by an alternative or find a bottle to fit the funnel onto.

2) The plastic, which is high-quality and designed for easy removal of frozen pops, is very very flimsy when you put it in the freezer. You might be better off placing it on a cookie sheet or cutting board, then placing the entire set-up in the freezer.

3) The popsicles may stick a bit to the sides of the mold -- especially if you use sugary mixes or fresh fruit. I do not know for sure, though.

I think it would be excellent if the kit came with a plastic set of "handles" that you could place the mold within. Unfortunately, it does not.

This mold is almost certainly phthalate-free -- in fact, the mold feels more rubbery than it a plastic. It's excellent, retains its shape, and will clearly hold up to frequent uses.

The biggest risk you will face when using this is spilling on yourself. I also imagine that pouring boiling or scalding liquid into the mold could cause it to melt, so you probably shouldn't do that.

I’ve used this several times. My kids love popsicles, so I opt to make that at home when I can. The funnel is nice, but I can pour in the liquid just fine without making a mess so I don’t use it much. I like that it comes with the plastic handles, but I choose to use the sticks because my toddlers would throw the handle in the garbage after they’re done lol. The cover will securely hold the sticks in place, so no need to partially freeze before putting them in. The plastic bags are awesome, that way once they’re frozen you can take them out of the mold and save space in your freezer or make another batch. The frozen popsicles easily pop out if the mold, no need to leave out or submerge in water. Overall I’m very pleased with this product.

This maker is so easy to use. I love being able to use wooden popsicle sticks so I can stock up on popsicles for the kids. The kit comes with everything I need. The little bags work well and I throw each different flavor I make into gallon freezer bags. I just blend up fresh fruit and pour them into the molds. After 24hrs I take them out and put them into the bags that come with the kit. They remove easily from the mold and retain their shape perfectly. This is the best popsicle mold I’ve ever had. Great for paletas too.

I was skeptical at first as I remember years ago trying to remove popsicles from molds. Although I did run warm water around mold for a few seconds, this was so much easier! Read instructions - if you use the reusable sticks you do not need to add lid. The lid is just for keeping disposable sticks in place. I didn't need to use funnel that is included, liquid is easy to pour from measuring cup (not included). Although each mold only holds 3+ ounces, it does feel heavier when carrying to freezer. Great recipes included. I purchased again for daughter.

My husband and I like fudge bars, but they keep getting more and more expensive and harder to find. On a whim I looked up a recipe and It looked super easy. I ordered this popsicle mold. Much nicer than I thought it would be. Comes with the brush to clean it even. Recipes are easy and inexpensive to make and taste so good compared to store-bought! I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. It even comes with reusable sticks, a pouring spout and gives you 50 wood sticks and bags to put the popsicles in.

So pleased with this product. My 7 year old had the idea of doing a charity ice lolly stall. I wanted to encourage him but did not want to buy loads of lolly moulds. This product worked perfectly.
