A Kid's Review on July 31, 2008
I recieved this for Christmas last year, and was extremely grateful. However, this box did not contain about HALF of the candy that was listed, (yes, I double checked!) especially the stuff I really wanted, like the stamps and blocks and mamba.

This is a really great gift idea! However, I would recommend that you do a little internet research, find candy from the era that you are searching for and get it yourself. (The candy in the box can still be bought in stores in most cases.) Then, buy some spray paint and paint a shoe box or something similar to package it in. Still has the same effect, plus it's home made, and it won't cost you $50.

Maybe nice for nostalgia, but is it worth the price of getting majorly ripped off? Its $30 plus a whopping $22 shipping... huge ripoff. I wouldnt recommend people pay for this unless you enjoy throwing your money away.

I can't think of a candy more indicative of the 90's! Come on now, how can you forget the Warheads??

As somebody else mentioned, it's much cheaper to just buy all of the candy and assemble the kit yourself. Convenience has a price... just not when it causes the price to be 3 times the value in this case. Fortunately since it is the 90's candy... It really isnt THAT hard to find if you look in the right places.

Overall, would be an ok gift to receive, but actually buying it yourself is rather lackluster for what you're paying and actually getting.

My siblings and I are all 90's babies. I got this candy box to put out for a Christmas get-together and everyone loved it. I realize that most people can find this candy easy, but not in my town. Plus, it's all cute and comes with a little paper that states a few fun facts about the 90's. I think it's a great buy if you can get it on sale. Also, everything that is in the picture did come in my box.

Like others said...go to your local 711 or Winn Dixie and you can probably pick up the whole box for under $10. Otherwise, the candy is fresh and it comes in a nice display box for when the nieces and nephews or grand-kids come over. The box is basically what you're paying for.
