returning to her hometown for answers.
As in all David Bishop's book, the story is superb. The characters are believable and real. Linda's journey has many twists and turns and Ryan is there, in the background.
If you ever thought of returning to the place where you grew up and learned a lot with some mistakes, this book is for you. You don't want to put it down and can't wait for another novel to take you somewhere else in such good company.
Looking forward for the new Matt Kyle book in the Fall and hope David keeps writing, just for our pleasure.
I'm always interested in how people discover a new book. In a moment going to you share with you how I discovered “Hometown Secrets.”
This novel: A Mystery / Romance, starts with a bang, and never slows down.
Linda Darby, the main protagonist in this book, will hold your interest long after you finished reading. It’s one of those books where you can’t stop thinking about what happened. After a week, I went back and read it again
Linda is a woman you could easily fall in love with.
This story is about Linda traveling back to her hometown for the reading of her mother's will.
Linda travels by train because it is a small farming community in Kansas, with no other mass transportation. Linda left the town under dubious circumstances and returned incognito.
The characters in this book are unique. You’ll find someone you can identify with whether you hate or love them
There are several scenes between Linda and her best friend from school days. That will have you reminiscing about your past relationships.
Even if you don't fall in love with Linda, you bound to admire her.
In short, mystery, intrigue, diversity, romance, adventure, and great entertainment awaits you.
I discovered "Hometown Secrets" when David walked into a writers club where I belong.
He is a master of understatement. The club requires that everyone introduced themselves and give a short bio. David simply said he published a few books on Amazon.
After the meeting, most members socialize at lunch. There I overheard David talking to another writer, and he said published 20 some books on Amazon. Oh yeah, he neglected to mention they were bestsellers.
I like all most everything about this book. I immediately bought the next book in the series “The Woman.”
You can Rest assured I will be bugging David to write the next book in the series.
Read This Book Yourself… See if you don’t agree.
The end was great... I liked the resolution to all the inequalities.

However, within minutes of her arrival, there is a shooting in the town restaurant. A visit to her best friend throws up more questions. Suddenly her hometown seems a place of crime and corruption. Can she help recover the peace and tranquility? In walk Dex and Ryan....
I would give 4 and half as the first couple of chapters are a bit slow but then the action picks up. The book has a really clever storyline that keeps twisting and turning. As the facts are revealed so the reader can guess who is trustworthy and who isn't. A must read and perfect as a holiday book 👍
Would recommend as good holiday read but think it would be better to read book one first to understand the relationship between Linda and Kyle first and why she needed to go to Cranston incognito.
Fast paced and enjoyable, give it a go.
Unbelievable characters and non existent story line.
I can't remember how I came to have this on my kindle, hope it was free! ! !
