Humidor is the world's most versatile virtual reality headset that works with any 4-6" iPhone/android/windows smartphone to offer truly immersive 360° games, videos (watch 3d movies with big screen theater experience), photos and unique virtual reality experiences. It is compatible with over 300+ google cardboard iOS/android apps on apple app store and google play store. There is also a free humidor VR player iOS/android app to view normal 2D, 3D or 360° videos. Similar to oculus rift and Samsung gear VR, it is better than google cardboard (and similar devices) for its ergonomic, lightweight and well ventilated design which offers unparalleled comfort even for extended wear. Our custom designed VR lenses (which are 70% larger than google cardboard's) offer industry leading 100° field of view (FOV) and optical clarity to give you the best picture and immersive experience. Advanced optical adjustments allow you to fine-tune focus for nearsightedness and farsightedness, interpapillary distance (IPD) and immersion to cater to your viewing needs. Unlike oculus rift, you don't need to be tethered to the computer. It is wireless and battery-free to give you ultimate freedom of movement. It works with any smartphone, unlike Samsung gear VR which only works with select Samsung phones. Humidor is the most versatile VR headset and probably the best head mount display (HMD) for virtual reality. You won't regret it.

I started by testing the headset with the Homido Center and Video player. For a couple of minutes it showed potential, however after trying to get the focus correct and failing miserably I was very disappointed. In the few instances that I was able to get things in-focus the experience was not so bad. InMind VR in particular raised my hopes, but after further testing I found that the view could not be focused.
After my experience with InMind VR I decided to test Trinus VR with Elite Dangerous. The experience was the same. In the brief moment where things seemed to be in-focus it was very cool, but slight turns of the ship was all it took to take things out of focus. Also the edges are very blurry even when you do manage to temporarily get a view in focus.
PROS: Phone can easily be removed, inserted and charged, it provides you with dials to adjust focus, the headband allows you to support it on your faces hands-free, lenses are provided for people who are near or far sighted (I have normal sight)
CONS: Not very comfortable for more than a few minutes, difficult to focus view (maybe I got a defect)
This is the first product that I've felt a need to review and the first product that I have returned to Amazon (or online in general). Thank you Amazon for getting it shipped quickly. I'm hoping for a speedy refund so that I can put the funds towards a more premium product. The brief moments of the VR experience have me looking forward to the future of VR.
The area to fit your phone is snug fits a lot of different phone sizes. I tried a iPhone 7 plus and htc m9 both fit. Although I liked the fit of the htc m9 better. iPhone seem to be a tad big but It still works.. It also has different adjustment if you wear glasses for far and near sighted people. The lenses are made of a very hard plastic. And come with a cleaning cloth to keep them clean.
Comfort although the headset stayed on my head I found that they hurt the bridge of my nose after even a short use. other than that it felt snug to my head and I felt comfortable that it wouldn't fall of my head at.
Cons number 1 con is that it doesn't have a action button. I have heard you can stick your finger in the small cut out for your nose but I didn't like this and often times I had to take my phone out and select it anyway. Number 2 is its uncomfortable on my nose.
I give this headset 4 out 5 because it's a huge step up from google cardboard and I didn't find many cons. I think most will be ok with it for short vr sessions.i would says it's a buy.
In terms of quality, hard plastic, doesn't feel cheap at all. Very well built.
In terms of comfortability, only one major problem: the nose part hurts after a while and the foam isn't that great but not a show stopper.
Great lens quality, very little blur at the edges. Overall great experience.
I had my doubts with holding my phone properly (iPhone 6s Plus) but it actually holds it great. Prefer it over the holders of all other headsets I've tried.
If the foam would be a bit more comfortable, I'd give it a 5, otherwise, excellent buy and amazing immersive experience.
Good quality lenses
3 ways to focus/optimize the image
Good field of view
Not as comfortable as some of the competitors (the Freefly and my Samsung Gear VR have better padding)
Not as easy to mount/dismount the phone into the unit
Field of view, while very good, is not as good as the Freefly or Gear VR
I use mine with a Samsung Galaxy Note 5
However the VR effect is garbage compares to Samsung GearVR. I would recommend this to non-experienced non-techy people, otherwise stay away you will be disappointed.
