EDIT> This cultivator comes with tilling/cultivation tines. I see no need to have the digging tines unless you are indeed digging a ditch or a hole. In fact just with the cultivation tines the tiller tries to bury itself. I like the default tines just fine.
Did my homework for days on end to find and buy the perfect cultivator for my garden. I am extremely happy with this little guy! At first, I couldn't get it to start, but then I found the on/off switch on the handlebar and it started right up!
This is the perfect machine for my needs. My garden is 50' x 60' and is really too much to hoe. Weeds and grass were getting ahead of me until I unboxed this tiller and started "hoeing". Grass and weeds are now gone and I can't wait for more weed seed to sprout so that I can "hoe" them again! I have also used the tiller in my foundation beds in preparation for re-establishing shrubbery. A little tricky around old roots, but it sure does the job!
This is a powerful machine and it stresses my 72 year old body to use it. However, it is much better than a "big" tiller. One feature that isn't mentioned is the "rock detector" function. If you are tilling along and hit a rock, the detector function kicks in and the tiller bounces up into the air!! Makes a good case for getting all the rocks out of my garden.
