4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 35 ratings

In today's hyper-transparent world, consumers have enormous power to decide which brands are worth their time and money—so how do you make sure they choose yours?

Unfortunately, most leaders and organizations are stuck following archaic, detrimental business practices. Meanwhile, savvy consumers and employees across every generation are making their stance perfectly clear: They are not interested in supporting organizations that seem inauthentic, soulless, or untrustworthy.

In this environment, only the
honest will survive.

In
Honest to Greatness, serial Inc. 5000 entrepreneur Peter Kozodoy shows how today's greatest business leaders use honesty—not as a touchy-feely core value, but as a business strategy that produces game-changing, industry-dominating success.

Through case studies and interviews with leaders at Bridgewater Associates, Sprint, Quicken Loans, Domino's, The Ritz-Carlton, and more, Kozodoy presents fresh business concepts that anyone in the workplace can implement in order to:

   • Reach, engage, and retain your best customers
   • Attract and inspire the best talent in any industry
   • Create an unbeatable culture of innovation that dominates your competitors
   • Earn your team's respect and loyalty
   • Unlock deep personal fulfillment by setting the "right" goals

Filled with powerful lessons for current and future leaders, this timely book demonstrates how to use honesty at both the organizational and individual level to achieve true greatness in business and in life.

What a great read! The book itself is very pretty, under the book jacket is gold lettering which I thought was a very nice touch. The story of the author I thought was very interesting as well, and as for the content, I really just loved it. There are great reflections, quotes, case studies, and you really walk away with a better understanding of what it is to be honest. For me, I was given great insights and I did buy a second book for taking notes. I would say, this is something everyone needs to hear, needs to read. It doesn’t matter the occupation, you will take something away from this book.

Every moral person knows honesty is the best policy because it's the right thing to do, but even if you're selfish, it's still the best policy. Take the story of the girl scout in the book, being brutally honest about which cookies she likes and which cookies are junk. Her honesty, which many more experienced salespeople would be afraid to put out there because they're afraid anything negative would kill the deal, actually got a venture capitalist interested in her pitch and...well, read the book for the rest of the story. Well-written, great stuff. Took the author four years to write, lots of footnotes, lots of research.

It is very hard to pinpoint what part about Peter’s book is my favorite simply because from front to back it is one of the absolute best books I have ever read!! Part III about becoming honest with yourself, with others, with your relationships really spoke to me. Peter is incredibly talented and I’m not sure anyone else could have written a book about honesty. He gives a real and raw account on how honesty and business intersect and the importance of honesty in our daily lives. Now more than ever we needed to hear the messages in this book. Highly recommend!!

Peter takes such an obvious idea and injects it with steroids for the brain. How can we take this idea of honesty and leverage it as an asset to not only thrive but really take our teams, self and businesses to the next level. This is such a thoughtful read!! Buy this book today!

Incredibly insightful and think the world would be a better place if more leaders (both business and political) would read and internalize the message here.
