About the Author

Author Bio: Lucii is a your typical British girl, hates the sun and hibernates when summer arrives! She lives at home with her 3 year old daughter, where they spend the day watching Frozen and playing playdoh. She started off as a regular person, job, home life, health issues and a love of reading. After reading the Fifty shade phenomenon, she went onto social media to seek other authors writing the same or similar genres. She entered a world she didn’t know existed and went to open a successful blog. Inspiring dreams took a back burner, while she learned the book community and met a bunch of amazing authors and readers alike. A year later she decides to start writing, hoping against hopes that her friends and fellow readers will like what she brings to the table. I am a big fan of mc books, this book not so much. Honestly don't get all the 4/5 stars. The author has a good flow to her writing it is just the story was so slow. The plot was hard for me to accept. It took 9 years for revenge from the other mc? Then when Cobra figures out the reason he doesn't go to his President, (did we ever find out the president's name, I must have missed it) he keeps it to himself. Really!! Have to admit i've never read that in another mc story. I understand Lauren being angry. Then Alexis just leaves, walks away without talking to Corba. Plus I felt the book ended too abruptly. I think since this is a new author it would help her to do a bit of research into other mc authors. I suggest she try reading books by Susan Fanetti or Tillie Cole and especially Lauren Gilley, The Dartmoor Series. . These authors not only give you the mc life, but the lives of the members also. I may read book two when it comes out. I hate to not give a new author another chance. But, I recommend this book only if you want to try a new author. Still don't get the 4/5 stars, but everyone has their own taste of what makes a good book.

If the author was trying to make me roll my eyes at the cheesy dialogue in this book, she succeeded. I've never read such cliched dialogue. It was almost comical. The story could not have been more predictable. I was bored reading it and the characters were unoriginal as well. An Honest Mistake is the perfect title for this book.

I was disappointed in this book. I'm a huge fan of MC books and alpha males but this did not work for me. Cobra and Alexis came off as childish and Cobra and the club did not act as a MC would they went to night clubs that played Taylor Swift music and we never really got to know the characters or background and for the life of me I didn't see why Cobra and Alexis should be together.

I took a chance on An Honest Mistake by L. Grubb and wish Amazon had a return policy on Kindle books. I didn't like it at all.

My biggest complaint is the dialogue. The wording was very British, but the book was set in LA. Now the author is a Brit, so this isn't a total surprise but if you're going to write a book set in the US with Americans as your characters you need to write them as Americans. For the first couple chapters, I thought the book was set in England. Then when it was revealed that the setting was Los Angeles, I did a "what the?"

I'll pass on future books by this author.

3.5-4 Stars

OK, so I really liked Cobra and Alexis a lot but felt like I was still missing something too with them! I do hope to see more of them and watch their budding romance go full bloom in the future because they definitely are each other's soulmates. My biggest disappointment was the ending, it fell completely flat for me. I was actually put off by Alexis at the end, when Cobra is in his time of need and she hears about his "secret" not from him either and then she completely abandons him without even listening to him and oh yeah, she loves him too....I was like WTH, yeah, that really pissed me off. Then he shows back up and it's all ok, the end.... Baffling.

I am looking forward to reading about Lauren and Champ and so I do plan to continue on with this series! I liked this book but there were a few things that fell flat for me:( Hoping this author brings it up a couple of notches in the future because she definitely has the talent to do exactly just that!

First off, these guys are regulars at a nightclub that plays pop music like "Uptown Funk" and Taylor Swift songs......what???
I didn't pick up on a love connection between the H & h either. Alexis is a self centered child in my opinion. I kept thinking the book would get better but more reading just led to more "What? NOT.EVEN!" questions in my head......
2 stars because the writing itself is somewhat fluid but the book is packed with too many cheesy cliches.

I have just stayed up all night reading an amazing debut book, by new author on the block Lucii Grubb and boy was it worth every second!! Ahhh Cobra is just gorgeous and has stolen my heart, he is cute with Alexis but tough and bad with his MC brothers! You managed to get the balance of humour, passion, gritt and love just right. You took me on a road full of twists and turns making me try to guess what was going to happen - I never did!! I have to say that I never would have guessed that this is a debut novel because it is so well crafted. I love how the title comes full circle at the end you nailed it Lucii well done!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Alexis and her friend Lauren are thrust into the motorcycle club world after a rival club has seen them with the Crusaders MC. Cobra battles his demon's and wants to do nothing more than keep Alexis safe.

They have an enjoyable journey with a push and pull that is realistic. Cobra is yummy which is why I guess Alexis lets him off too easy when he screws up like men are apt to do when they are fighting their feelings. The women are strong and flow into the world they are locked in.

Interesting group of characters in the motorcycle club. I look forward to reading more about this group. Great job, Ms. Grubb.
