Product exceptions You may find this product is a bit more difficult to remove from toe nails, because toe nails are naturally more dry and have less natural oils. Scratch resistance Unlike solvent-based polishes which reach their maximum hardness in about 40 minutes, WaterColors Nail Enamel must be given time to create a tough film. About 75% of the hardness is achieved very quickly, but it needs 4-6 hours to achieve maximum hardness. The more time you give it to cure properly, the longer it will wear. You may choose to apply it at night when the day's activities are done. However, because the film is quite thin, worn areas at the tips or scratches can be easily touched up to create a freshly-applied appearance. Ease of removal The film that is formed by the water-based system becomes more difficult to dissolve as time passes. For this reason, we recommend you remove the polish at or before one week of wear the first time you use our polish. Apply Odorless Polish Remover to the cotton ball or Honeybee Gardens felt pad. Hold the wetted pad on the nail for a few seconds, and then proceed to rub the polish off while applying gentle pressure. Do not scrape at the nail. It may take a few swipes longer than you're used to, but the product will come off. People with dry, ridgy or porous nails may need to work at it a bit longer. Acetone-based removers will not work because this is not a solvent-based system. Wash hands with soap and water thoroughly after removal. If you have naturally dry skin, you may also want to use a moisturizer.
Water, water-miscible acrylic, polyurethane formers and thickeners, non-ionic soaps. May contain: ultramarine blue, carmine, mica, iron oxides, and/or titanium dioxide.
Apply as needed.

It'll stay forever on my toes and that's generally what I keep painted all the time.
If you are health conscious, it's a must have.
Cons: Have to do touch ups daily on hands. I read somewhere that it's best to let it cure, meaning don't do the dishes right after painting it. So maybe paint at night before bed. I work as a painter, and use my hands alot around the house, so it doesn't last. I don't like haven't to fuss so much with my nails, so I generally only paint fingernails when I've got an event or something. It would drive me nuts to have to do touch ups all the time. So I've never kept polish on my hands because I've had that issue with both commercial and this brand.
The clear coat of this brand is a good alternative for fingernails that have a heavy workload. After a week, it does yellow. Requires less maintenance on hands than the color, but still some maintenance ever 4-7 days.
EDIT: This polish will not last long. It applied fine at first, but got thicker and thicker and chipped more quickly so finally I threw it out. I have other polishes that are older that still look good. If you wear the same color a lot and will use it up great! But if not this may not be the best choice.
I bought this in the Vintage Merlot color this time and it is stunning. It is a creamy dark red with purple undertones (pretty true to merlot color). I wasn't expecting to like it so much. It is almost a dead ringer for my old favorite OPI nail polish, Mrs. O'Leary's BBQ. I am more than happy with this nail polish.
I love the colors & product but I give it a 4 star because its difficult to take off. I use a high quality cotton ball, with rubbing alcohol & it takes FOREVER rub off. I really have to keep rubbing & rubbing until it eventually comes off. Because the color is soo deep you notice the chips easier compared to the lighter shades I've bought from HoneyBee.
Over all great product but I wish it was just a little easier to take off.
I wanted a new color and chose this one. Wow! Lovely. Dark but not too dark and like a deep rose/violet. Just a beautiful color. Glad I bought it, it is just what I was looking for.

The polish doesn't remove very easily using standard polish remover. It doesn't last very long either; maybe a few days before it begins to chip.Published 9 days ago by R Andrews
I didn't really care for this color as it chips easily. I have two other colors that last longer than a week.Published 15 days ago by Nancy McKenzie
I love this nail polish! It's free of the harmful chemicals that most have. The color is just perfect, and it stays on fairly well, before chipping. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Elizabeth Darcy
Good staying power. Lasting longer than the white nail color. Comes off easily with alcohol.Published 4 months ago by Donielle
Does NOT come off with alcohol. Barely comes off with nail polish remover. Once it is on you have to chip it off, which damages top layer of nail. Read morePublished 4 months ago by Sareena Brown
