Tearsa Nelson Daines is the oldest daughter of nine children. She learned her culinary skills from her mother who taught her to cook at a very young age. She likes to cook for her husband, Brent, alongside her five daughters and two sons, who keep her current with new recipes and food blogs. When not cooking, Tearsa likes to read, travel, plant flowers, go on walks, and waterski, and most of all, spend time with her husband, seven children, three sons-in-law, five grandchildren, extended family, and friends.

The photos are scrummy looking, and other photos are just plain fun. All the ones with the sisters just make me smile! I'm reading this series right now, but I read the cookbook first. I have to say, it just made me hungry for cooking some of these, and to read the books. It's so well done!
Recipes like this one; Pear Honey Crumble, and Honey Bee Lemon Pound Cake make it hard to not drool on my ebook device.
Quotes like; "You shouldn't make Josiah a cake if you don't want him coming over. I suggest asparagus casserole." had me laughing so hard.
I don't want to share too much about this book, you really should read it yourself, but I think I have a craving for Killer Bee Pizza now.
My copy came from Celebrate Lit. I left this review because I chose to. It reflects my thoughts and my opinions.
One that really drew my attention was the last recipe for Bienenstich Cake. Every Easter I buy this from the German bakery. Maybe I should get brave and make it myself. The recipe sounds so good.
I also spotted quite a few tasty oriental style recipes. But I am sure the Amish like to try them, too!
I loved how she wove her Honeybee sister stories into the cookbook, which made it extra fun. I have read and loved them and can't wait for the next book.
The pictures of the finished recipes look good enough to eat. So I definitely want to start trying these out.
I received a free digital copy of this book as part of the Celebrate Lit blog tour. All thoughts and opinions are my own and no other compensation was received.
The first thing I look for in a cookbook is pictures. I want to see what I am going to be making because it is hard for me to visualize just by looking at the recipe. Also, I want to compare how my dish turned out with the photos to see if I've done it correctly. This cookbook has tons of photos, so there is no question what the food will look like when you're done! The recipes are very easy to follow for this amateur cook, and most of the ingredients are easy for me to find at the grocery store. The cookbook is broken into 4 parts - Main dishes, Salads, Breads, and Treats (aka yummy desserts!!).
All of the recipes look amazing, but let me share two of my favorites with you. Number one on my list is Salmon Tacos with Pineapple Salsa. I'm not going to lie, cooking with salmon seems a little intimidating to me, although it is my favorite fish to eat. But this recipe is so easy to follow and the results are well worth your time! I love how you are provided two different ways to cook the salmon, so if it's in the middle of winter and I don't want to freeze using my grill, I have the oven cooking instructions! My other favorite recipe, although it may sound simple, is the Whole Wheat Bread. I have been looking for a wheat bread recipe that wouldn't take hours to make, and I have finally found it! Sure there is some kneading involved, but the time you need to let the dough rise is minimal compared to other recipes I have found. Where has this recipe been all my life??
If you're looking for something different, fun and somewhat traditional give this cookbook a try. The recipes are great, and I cannot wait until I have tried every single one! I received a complimentary copy of this book through CelebrateLit in exchange for an honest review which I have given.
