Many doorbells require 16 volts AC. I am using this to power mine as an alternative to buying an unenclosed transformer and wiring it to house power.

Bought this to replace the power supply on my daughters home alarm system. The old one turned dark brown from the hot Arizona heat. It is mounted on the garage ceiling. New one works just fine & I recommend it.

I purchased this to wire my new doorbell/camera and it's awesome. An electrician wanted to charge me $500 to run a line that would be hard wired from my basement to the camera and I thought I could do it cheaper and easier. With this gem I wired the camera for the cost of 1 small hole being drilled the cost of some door bell wire and this transformer. You too can save yourself $480 by using this

This is a simple transformer that powers our home security system. As such, it is an uncomplicated thing that must be reliable and easy for the homeowner to install. So far it IS reliable, and it WAS easy to install.

Got this to replace a Napco transformer for our security system. Tons cheaper than calling the security company for a service call.

Thank God for this picture which we could see that it matched our original unit with a 3-prong plug and two connection screws. There are a lot of transformers out there, so be sure the one you buy has the same voltage (in this case, 16.5v) and power (here, 40VA) as the unit you are replacing.

I have an NAPCO GEM p1632 and it goes through NAPCO transformers every 4 to 5 years. The Honeywell Ademco transformer has the same specs as the NAPCO one so I went ahead and bought it. I unplugged the bad one, connected the wires to the same lugs on the new Honeywell one and plugged it in. The Alarm powered right up and is working like a charm. The price of this one was less than the ones sold by the alarm supply houses. This is really very simple to install.

After finding out my security company did NOT have my transformer in stock. (Yeah, that's right they didn't have one, and they couldn't tell me when they would get it in stock) So, I panicked, luckily I found a replacement on amazon and quickly ordered the Honeywell Ademco on line, and was greatful to receive it in a few days. It works great, and my security problem is solved. Thanks to amazon for carrying Honeywell products.

I used this to replace the one that came with my security system 20 years ago. That one was still working but was discolored. I don't know if it was overheating or normal heat discoloration after that time. I hope this one lasts another 20 years.
