The Honeywell Energy Star 70-pint dehumidifier is designed to remove up to 70 pints of moisture daily from medium to large rooms. A digital humidistat control system automatically senses room moisture levels and activates dehumidification to accurately maintain desired humidity levels. Humidity controls allow you to reduce and maintain the level of humidity that is most comfortable for you and your family. The large, detachable, anti-spill water tank collects up to 14.4 pints of moisture and is designed with an ergonomic handle for easy disposal of collected water. The front water-level indicator, full tank light and audible alert system, plus the auto shut off feature make this dehumidifier a great, worry-free home companion. The continuous drain option further increases flexibility by allowing you to continuously drain the water using a standard garden hose (hose not included). Designed for portability, the smooth-gliding caster wheels and convenient side handles move the unit from room to room with ease. Create a more comfortable environment in your home with Honeywell’s 70-pint dehumidifier.

To be honest, there's not a huge difference in terms of performance, overall design, or price. The Honeywell is every bit as quiet, and pulls about as much moisture from the air. My impression is that the discharged air from the Honeywell is slightly warmer than the Frigidaire, but not substantially so.
Where the Honeywell shows improvement is in the ease of removing and washing the filter (which is really much more valuable than you might think, if you're keeping this in a utility room like I do). And, the display is much, much nicer. Where the Frigidaire shows you what the humidity level is set for, the Honeywell shows the setting and the actual humidity level.
All things being equal, they're both excellent dehumidifiers. Whether or not the improved filter design or extended display is worth the premium, you'll have to decide for yourself. Either way, you can't go wrong.
I've only had this dehumidifier for a couple of weeks but all is running fine. Set up was very easy and the display of actual vs. desired humidity is very convenient. The option to run the effluent into a drain using a hose works perfectly -- there is a plug in the back and one only need remove it and attach a small hose. It is relatively quiet and cycles about as expected. I don't know how energy efficient it is yet -- no utility bills since I installed it.
If I have problems with the dehumidifier, I'll post them here.
We keep our unit fairly central to the house in the great room. Louder than I expected (definitely not like a higher quality oscillating fan), but bearable. The second level mode is louder.
Everything is easy to use--just remember that you need the styrofoam in the float to trigger the auto shutoff. If you're being a smartie like me and throw it out, call the manufacturer and they will kindly replace with your Amazon proof of purchase (screenshot of my order was sufficient).
Truly worth the money for this little miracle worker.
To be upfront, these units are sold by the amount they can pull out of the air within 24 hours--not their tank size. That means this model can pull 70 pints of water out of the air within 24 hours but only if you hook it up to drain into a sink/drain or empty the 14.4 pint tank 5 times!
So if you can't have this and other units drain automatically, look into tank size more than the speed at which it can take the water out of the air. Most people won't want to empty it five times a day. A faster model with the same tank size will just fill up quicker.
During my tests this unit was quieter than other 70 pint models I have--Soleus Air, Whirlpool and GE and seemed to pull the water very quickly. It does not have a pump for the hose output--something that is needed if you are draining to a sink that is above where the unit sits.
I hope this has helped you. I will update this as I discover issues or continue to love it. :)
