Wow! Talk about turbo. This little fan can move the air at least 20 feet away on the high speed! And, even on high it is very quiet. Obviously there is some noise, but not enough to have to turn the tv up. ( I am super sensitive to white noise) We are in a new home that doesn't have any reguIar windows in the main areas. I bought this fan to put near the door in a room that has an air conditioner in it, to help bring the cool air out to the main room. I do have a small fan directly in front of the a/c, pointed towards this one that is on a tall dresser and facing out to the big room. It pulled so much of the air conditioned air out that it brought the humidity in the big room down 5 percent with in 1/2 hr of turning it on. The temp went down about 1 1/2 deg . After an hour I could turn the a/c down. I don't think we will even need to put the second a/c in the other side room, this set up is working well enough. And I'm sure will save electricity over a second a/c. I turned the fan on low to sleep though, I couldn't even hear it, and it still moved a good amount of air around.

I paid $11.33 each for these and I bought three in white (cheaper than the black). I just needed several versatile little fans that could go either in a window or on a tabletop. They circulate the air very well, even on medium speed. Much more quiet than a huge box fan, yet seems to do the trick. I noticed on the bottom of the base that you can actually mount the fan to a wall or ceiling. I like that the fan can be pointed at an angle or even straight up in the air. The only improvement this fan could use is if it could also be pointed down at an angle if sitting on a table or counter. But hey, the price is right!

The thing puts out a lot of air and I like the wall mountable aspect - I find I can actually attach one of internal mounting holes to an anchor bolt/molly bolt I have in wall - allowing me to alter the direction of the fan in a great number of ways. So that is a nice aspect to the fan. However, the promo material for this fan are wrong either intentionally or they are mistaken about this model. The GRILL IS NOT REMOVABLE! PERIOD. This over time till result in it being a cleaning nightmare, with accumulated dust and junk on the blades and internal workings. So I'm sending it back as soon as I find a decent substitute. The clip on 6 inch Lasko fan was too weak and the range of direction even with the clip was surprisingly limited. But I'll find something. Fan function itself for this fan is solid but lack of ability to clean blades is a deal killer. AMAZON PLEASE CHECK AND CORRECT YOUR ENTRY WITH RESPECT TO THIS FEATURE. IT IS A PRIME ITEM! THANKS! ps - I'm a huge Amazon fan but sometimes things get past you or model types change or the manufacturer or distributer screws up in their promised description supplied to Amazon, etc . Who knows.

This was easy to use and place in my bedroom. The adjustment makes it useful for moving colder air up towards my vaulted ceiling. The only complaint I have is that the lowest setting is still fairly "loud" like white noise. Some people need this noise to sleep, but I'm not one of those people. I'd prefer it to be a larger and slower fan for reduced noise. I've slept through the sound without any problems, but it is louder than I'd like. I used an app on my phone and found that it would measure anywhere from 25 dB to 45 dB depending on how close and how the mic was oriented. Rowenta has an industry leading quiet fan that registers 35 dB, but when I asked them about their testing methodology, they said it was proprietary and could not be disclosed to the public. That's like saying Ford rates their regular Focus 2.0L engine at 500 hp, but won't disclose how they tested it to rate at 500 hp.

Overall: 4/5 stars

Thus far this little fan has been incredibly impressive, recently the office was shoved around those of us who don't spend a lot of time at FMC were put into cubes for the time being (even the fellows 0.o). I'm a moving air kinda guy, and while in an office I kept a tower turbine fan, can't do that out there, looks cluttered enough with my plants; so, even with this being temporary I needed something to keep the space less stagnant.

I grabbed little beauty, it is a little bigger than I envisioned, but at the same time it's not intrusive or off-putting, it slid right int he corner and on the lowest setting is perfectly quiet while jetting out a nice fresh stream of air. Honeywell makes good fans in my experience back in the apartment dwelling days, so that was a major motivating factor in choosing this fan over other models.

Without going on much more, if you're looking for a nice corner or under the desk fan, this is a smart purchase.

Add this one to the One Star reviews... This Honeywell HT-900 TurboForce Air Circulator has a strong plastic odor. We never got to use it. Brought it into the house, and it smelled. Tried to clean it, let it set outside in a porch room... still stinks. We bought it August 27, 2016 and now it is Oct. 1, 2016. Still smells. I went back just now and read some of the recent one star reviews. Perhaps the smell kept us from other problems. We're throwing it in the trash.

Wow. Decided to try this air circulator because 5-star reviews outnumbered 1-stars. Bought a Vornado 530 at around the same time to compare in two different rooms. I've been wanting to experiment with raising the thermostat but using air circulators to offset the heat (and hopefully save a little energy and money on my utility bill). Have had the Vornado a week and it is going strong and doing the job. I raise the thermostat to 77 and run this baby and feel as cool in my living room as if it were 72 or 73. The Honeywell came today. I was surprised that it was so much bigger and clunkier despite being cheaper and weaker, but I plugged it in in my 10X10 home office, and it worked fine. Turned it off, went on errands, came back two hours later, and the fan was dead. Dead. Dead. It is going back in the box and back to Amazon. Vornado has my business. I now know the extra expense is worth it. This Honeywell fan literally ran for one hour. I'm glad some folks have had a good experience with this air circulator, but not me.

This is a big fan; When you open the box, you feel it is a powerful fan, but when you turn it on, you feel like... hummm... is there any higher speed option that I missed. It is slightly bigger than a standard soccer ball. it looks big, but its maximum wind speed does not match to its size. The kind of breeze that hits your face while travelling at 10-15 miles per hour in a car hits you at its maximum speed. I have seen even smaller fan with powerful motor giving better breeze than this fan. I can bet that a normal hair dryer can give you stronger breeze (if we ignore area). When I turned it ON, I was slightly disappointed, but I think in this price it is a decent deal. if you are sweating it can dry you in 15 to 20 mins. Best part is that you won't get headache or fall sick because of direct breeze on your face at this speed. It is quite silent because it is slow. Also, IT DOES NOT TURN 360 degree (just straight and top - 90 degree angle of rotation is allowed). I just bought it because honeywell is a trusted brand, and lot of people already bought it and have given good reviews. I hope it will accompany me for at least 2-3 years. Last, if you are thinking of buying it for your office desk, then I would suggest you to buy a smaller one. It will occupy lot of space on your desk and won't look good. Expectations about speed may vary from person to person; to me it is 10 to 20% slow, which is not a huge disappointment overall. Honeywell can make it perfect by improving speed little bit and increasing range of angle of tilt by -40 to 90 (currently it is 0 to 90) degrees.

This fan is an amazing fan for $10.

*It's quiet
*It blows a considerable amount of air
*It's portable
*And it mounts to the wall as an option

This fan does not have the power of a giant box fan (which you can buy here or at a department store for like $20). Simply speaking: Bigger blades move more air. And faster rotations move more air. So large blades on a giant motor are going to move air around ALOT. So much that it will blow papers off desks in other rooms. If that's what you want, buy one of those.

However, what this fan is good at is providing a very portable fan, with a very small footprint, that quietly moves air to cool you down or improve the airflow of the room due to air temperatures separating (hot air rising).

If that's what you are looking for, then go ahead and pick one up.
