About the Author
Cathy Perkins is a member of the Sisters in Crime, Mystery Writers of America and International Thriller Writers. She writes predominantly financial-based mysteries but enjoys exploring the relationship aspect of her characters’ lives. Her suspense writing lurks behind a financial day-job, where she learned firsthand the camouflage, hide in plain sight, skills employed by her villains. Born and raised in South Carolina, the setting for HONOR CODE and THE PROFESSOR, she now lives in Washington with her husband, children, several dogs, and the resident deer herd.

In a small, southern town an elderly widower disappears under questionable circumstances. Detective Larry Robbins knows in his gut George Beason needs help...and he intends to find him before it's too late.
The opening scene is powerful in its imagery and emotion. I connected immediately with both the victim and the hero. George Beason had to be found, and Robbins had to find him.
Though this police procedural is fast paced, the book never lost my interest. I also enjoyed the secondary characters. They added layers to the story that made me forget I was reading a novella. That doesn't happen often.
Honor Code is a great read that I would recommend to anyone that loves mysteries...and the fact it features characters from Ms Perkins' debut novel The Professor makes it even better!
Cathy Perkins knows how to keep the reader guessing. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Honor Code and look forward to picking up her future releases. I recommend Honor Code to readers of realistic mysteries.
But well worth the time.
