Suzy and City are back with the entire Gallo family. Unlike the previous books (exception is Uncover Me) in the Men of Inked series that are under my erotica shelf, this book falls into my contemporary romance category. Oh, don't you worry. Ms. Bliss gives us plenty of hot sexy times with City and Suzy again. However, this book you get to spend quality family time with all the Gallos through their eyes. Whenever a family expands, humorous situations will occur between the seriousness that is adult life. In addition to seeing your favorite characters grow up,or better, man up, Ms. Bliss gives the reader a few different story plots that seamlessly weave together for an excellent weekend read.
If you haven't read any of the Men of Inked series, I strongly recommend you read, at a minimum, Throttle Me for Suzy and City's origin story. Although Chelle Bliss is excellent at telling the story if you haven't read the other books or series so that you don't feel lost. However, you'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't read book 1 at a minimum. If you are one of the lucky readers who have been following the Gallo family and ALFA PI, you find an excellent story that brings all the characters you love together. I'm going to put my two cents out there. It didn't feel like good-bye or a wrap up novel if that's what you anticipate. As I read through Suzy and City's POV, I felt like I got to be a part of the lives of the Gallos. But ended on a note where (hopefully) there can be more. (Purchased other retailer)
4.5 out of 5 stars
I didn't realize how much I missed City and Suzy until I picked this newest Gallo book up. As is usual with a Chelle Bliss book, I was drawn in from the very first paragraph. I loved reading every single page of this book.
We get to see all sorts of Gallo action that had me laughing quite a bit. The antics both in and out of the bedroom had me either fanning myself or chuckling. One of the things that I most loved about this book is how Chelle addresses post-partum depression after Suzy gives birth. This can sometimes be such a taboo subject, but it's handled so well in this book. Joe proved again why I love him as much as I do.
There's also some family drama that causes quite a bit of stress for the Gallo family that had me tearing up just a little bit. But as usual, they rally around each other and solve the problem as single unit. And let's not forget Mar and Sal; there were a few revelations about this frisky pair that had I been in the room I'm not sure I would have been able to handle it LOL!
In the end, the Gallo's are on fire, individually, as couples and as a family. This is a not to be missed book in this series!!
This is primarily City & Suzy's story. *Sigh* back to where it all started. Suzy is very pregnant with.. twins! EEK! And this pregnancy is taking a toll on Suzy and on her relationship with City. I so appreciated Chelle tackling this subject that many people are not comfortable talking about. Postpartum depression is very serious. But often I find people embarrassed about it. Unsure of their experience, feeling like they should just be able to get over it, it will get better soon, go away, family members who are not understand... But this is tackled head on in Honor Me - with class, honesty and in a very easy manner. Sounds odd right? Such a serious topic and I am saying it came across easy... Well, I feel Chelle treated it as if it just happened (which it did). It wasn't some monumental crisis (though it often feels like it). We get to see Suzy's feelings and how she is dealing, but we then see City very naturally show his concern, reach out to his big, supportive family to see where he can find help for the love of his life and they deal. It was true to THEIR characters and so felt real and honest.
But wait! As soon as they tackle their personal issues something else is waiting, lurking in the shadows to darken their lives. The past has come back... well one of City's brother's past. But when one Gallo is involved, the whole family is.
It was wonderful to visit with the Gallos again. Their family dynamic just drags you in and makes you wish you were invited over for Family dinner! And the kids! Oh my! Let me just tell you that Gigi, City and Suzy's daughter is just too much! She stole every scene she was in! The things that came out of her mouth... just you wait and see. I so hope we see more of her!
I definitely recommend this book. I laughed, I teared up, I gasped and screamed... and in the end I was just plain ol' happy.
I received a complimentary copy in exchange for my honest review.

They are Gallos. They have lots of sex and babies. They have a daughter who is actually Izzy's mini. City's parents are cool and remind me of mine.Read more
