UPDATE: My original HUB did have all the mentioned problems. Sunvalleytek's support is wonderful though, they contacted me, let me know this wasn't expected behavior and sent out a new one that they tested before shipping. The new one is functioning exactly as I would expect for a HUB. I have yet to see any of the aforementioned problems that were in the original product.

While the HUB does seem like it wants to work, it has been unable to handle two or even three devices. I tried this with a USB 3.0 HDD and Blu-Ray Drive. When the second device is plugged in it'll sometimes flash and not register with the computer.

I've also noticed that things plugged in through this HUB have a chance to randomly lose their connection with the computer. This creates an issue where the PC still sees the device acting as if it's plugged in even after it's been removed from the HUB. When the device gets plugged in anywhere that isn't the HUB it seems to fix itself.

I've also noticed crashes while trying to wake my computer up while the HUB has been plugged in that don't occur when it's unplugged.

Overall it feels like I've bought a useless piece of junk. The first problem alone makes it useless as a HUB, since it can't handle multiple devices.

My old usb hub was 10 ports but was slowly giving out. Only 2 ports still worked. This one was easy to set up, has a beautiful sleek look, and has led lights indicating the status of each device. Although I love the led indicator lights, the fabulous price was the determining factor in my purchase. Very happy that I chose this one.

UPDATE: I originally gave this 5 stars because the 1st day it was working perfectly. The 2nd my mouse wouldn't work even though the led light for that port was on. After an hour or so I finally got my mouse working. The 3rd day nothing worked except the power light on the HooToo. No matter what I did I couldn't get it working.

I finally decided to reboot my computer to see if that would help. Next I got stuck with a computer refusing to come back up. My Mac showed a grey screen, the status bar never appeared. I was so afraid my Mac was done for! I tried turning my Mac on and off a few more times, something you are not supposed to do. No matter how long I waited I got nothing. My only hope was disconnecting the usb hub from my computer and hope that it was the problem. It was. Thankfully my Mac is now working fine and the usb hub is being returned.

One additional comment, I called HooToo for some help but they have no phone support, only email. The person I got on the phone knew nothing. I found that very disappointing. When something goes wrong the last thing you want is to have to email the company and wait for a reply which more than likely won't come the same day.

I have seen a comment from the seller or manufacturer responding to someone's one-star comment with great concern. So, I called the number they provided the person in the comment, supposedly where they can get a defective product and inspect it to try to figure out what went wrong. Well, I received a bad HT-UE01 (3port usb and ethernet adapter) which would disconnect every 5-15 minutes and didn't even work in one of my USB ports. I confirmed that other USB devices were working fine and also installed the driver + made sure that the power saving options in device manager were turned off. So, there is definitely something wrong with the adapter. I called the phone number and the person that answered the phone must have been high or something because they just picked up the phone and didn't even answer, "Hello." I was confused and asked who I had reached (possibly having dialed the number wrong) and they said it was sunvalleytek. They put me on a 4 second hold for some reason. I explained what was happening and they told me to just return it to Amazon. Hmm.

Here they are in some comments trying to act all concerned and whatnot. Give me a break. They aren't concerned and are apparently sleeping on the job.

PS: Don't expect me to respond to any of their replies to me calling them out... I don't have time to tangle with low-rent manufacturers over their crummy products and poor service.

EDIT 12/28/2013:
OK. I have to admit, these guys delivered for me. They completely refunded my purchase for the broken one and sent me a new one. All without any prodding beyond my initial attempt to contact them. I have the new one plugged in now and it has been working for about 2 hours without seeing the problems that I had with the old one. Kudos and thanks, 5 stars.

My review is NOT for the HooToo® HT-UH006 USB 3.0 Hub - it's for the HT-UH010 that the seller sent me as a replacement when the HooToo® HT-UH006 didn't work with my USB 3.0 drives connecting through it to my "mid-2010 Macbook Pro" (Apple's appellation).

It seems that some USB 3.0 drives are very fussy about their connection, the HooToo importer explains. They note that in the description on Amazon, but I didn't appreciate it. My WD and Samsung and Toshiba Canvio drives would not connect through the HT-UH006

The difference between the HT-UH010 and the HT-UH006 is noticed as soon as you pick up the box - the HT-UH010 is much heavier, because the power supply is a moose-y 5 amps versus the puny 1.5 amp supply shipped with the HT-UH006. The HT-UH010.

I hooked the 3 drives that didn't work with the HT-UH006 to the HT-UH010 and the hub worked perfectly! Clearly faster than the D-Link DUB-H7 it replaced.

As others have noted, this is a very responsive seller. If you have issues, their contact info is on the boxes and material - contact them. Nice people!
