Furthermore, these bed stiffener brackets offer multiple tie-down locations and may also serve as an accessory bracket.

High-Strength Construction

These Hooke Road Bed Stiffener Brackets sport a high-strength construction. Made using high-quality and durable materials, these brackets are able to handle the additional weight of heavy camper shells or bed rack. Furthermore, these bed stiffener brackets are powder coated to protect against weather elements and corrosion.

Moderate Installation

Some drilling is required. Place the brackets on the bed and mark 3 mount holes for each side bracket. They can be installed directly to your truck bed’s factory holes, but you also need to perform some drilling to keep the brackets steady and ensure a secure fit.

Nicely finished bed stiffener. Holes are 1/4 inch, which is plenty of room for most ratchet straps. Metal seems solid and design looks good. When installed in my 2011 Tacoma there is 49 inches between the stiffeners, leaving just enough room for drywall sheets.

Taking off one star for some weld splatter on the stiffener and for silver hardware. The weld splatter should have been cleaned up before powder coating. I'll probably hit the exposed hardware with black spray paint, not sure why you would want silver bolts with a black stiffener.

easy install if you're willing

simple install. all needed hardware was provided. even the correct size drill bit to drill the holes for the added bolts. just know that you have to drill 6 holes into your truck bed.

i cant say if the bed is actually stiffer yet. havent had a reason to load up the bed or my kb voodoo rails.

This is a must-have if you plan to place a lot of weight on top of your bed. I have a diamondback bed cover and then a Front Runner bed rack mounted on top, along with all my gear, it's a must-have to help maintain the integrity of your bed's sidewalls. When I say weight, I'm placing at least an extra 200-600 lbs. That's why I purchased this. If I were placing under 200 Lbs regularly I wouldn't bother.

Nice product but missing hardware

Upon arrival it felt and looked like a solid product - I was impressed with the construction. After further inspection it was missing key bolts to install product. 3 days after emailing company and not receiving a response I went to the local hardware store to get the missing hardware to install brackets. Still awaiting a response from the company.

Installation was straight forward and pretty simple if you're comfortable with basic hand tools. Drill bit was included and final product came out looking very nice.

One thing to note, this will not work with the Tacoma factory bedmat without trimming the mat.

Had all parts shown up or had I received a response from the company I would give 5 stars.

Great steel powder coated bed stiffeners for the new 3rd gen tacomas.... i jusr had to drill the holes for them and didnt have a T55 screw so i had to use vice grips to unscrew one of the screws on the oem truck bed, no problems though and looks OEM

Seems like a good product. Appears as described. I opted to drill the extra holes for mounting it more securely. Everything fit well, a few dings on the powder coating. One of the tips is starting to rust already. Aside from that, no issues.
