This was a wonderful story. For a short novella, you don't feel like anything was left out. You gain a good sense of the story & the characters.
Reece has come home to Hope Falls to do some renovations on his parent’s store, Two Scoops. He and his mother are checking out the upper floor for a possible expansion when they hear someone fall on the other side of the building, Reece crashes thru the door in the attic. Did I forget to mention Two Scoops shares a wall and a connecting door with Read Between the Lines. “Alesha?” Reece has never forgotten Alesha; they were best friends. “Reece?”
Ok, you have read the blurb and liked what you saw, or you would not be reading the reviews. I will tell you some of the reasons why I absolutely loved this book. Samantha Chase writes a totally believable story. She writes in a way that brings the readers so far into the book that you never want to leave. I love the way she developed the characters in this book. The story line blew my emotions out of the water. My favorite part of the book is when Alesha is talking to Marlene about when Reese’s reaction when Alesha first moved away, and he told his mom “I was….” Stop, no spoilers. I will say it brought tears to my eyes. I LOVE a book that can bring this much emotion to me.
Kudos, Ms. Chase on another phenomenal book!!!
Thank you for reading my review.
The sweetest story. Childhood friends finding each other again. Again Samantha Chase draws me into her book and makes me love it. Love the small town feel.
Alesha Reed headed back to Hope Falls because her father's ailing health.
But now he wanted her to take over his book store while he had his cancer treatments. She wanted to come back eventually. It was home to her.
Reece Brooks came home to help his parents with there store known as Two Scoops.
What was he thinking. So much to do. But when he heard a scream, and came face to face with the most beautiful eyes he ever saw he was hooked. It was her his best friend. She came home. He couldn't believe it.
Alesha couldn't believe she was looking into Reece Brooks eyes while laying on the floor. Her hero.
While Reece helped Alesha with her father's book store, things took a turned into something spectacular. It happened fast, but it also felt so right. It was a little worrisome because he didn't live in Hope Falls.

Highly Recommend reading this.
