The band that taught a lot of others how to do it, and then didn't get credit for it, comes through and shows that they just get better with age. I was turned on to this album by hearing the play the title track and others live recently and what a treat. I met them and they are truly nice guys who love what they are doing, despite getting screwed by record executives at the most pivotal time in their career. During the intervening years they have made a movie, and Rob and Lips have just gotten better and better. In concert they make metal look effortless and on this album the years of experience shine through. It has classic hooks and riffs and is Anvil being Anvil. And, the fact they have stayed at it and still obviously love it (from meeting them and watching the show on the front row) makes this album special and gives me hope that I can persevere somehow too.
