About the Author
Jena Morrow is a thirty-two-year-old follower of Christ, single mother, and writer (in that order). Jena has written a memoir entitled Hollow, published by Moody Publishers 2010, in which she shares the cautionary tale of her descent into anorexia nervosa at age eighteen, nearly dying from the disorder, and her tentative re-emergence into life, and into the arms of the one true God. Jena has also self-published two collections of Christian devotional poetry, Verses from a Yielded Vessel and Reflections of Grace, and she writes short and full-length dramas for churches to present to their congregations and for outreach events.
An advocate for Eating Disorder Awareness and Prevention, Jena volunteers her time each year to National Eating Disorder Awareness, and has spoken on the subject to various church groups, womens' groups, and to youth and teens.. Jena has struggled with eating disorders since the age of three, and feels passionate about preventing others from falling into the trap of disordered eating and compulsive dieting, and makes it her goal to point others who struggle in the direction of the healing, restorative love of God.
