Dani’s love for Cohen is absolute and unwavering. You can feel the deep love she has for him. Cohen fought his feelings for a long time due to family dynamics and age differences but for Dani there was never a doubt who she belonged too. When Cohen left for his mission, I thought their story would mirror Axel and Izzy’s (Dani’s parents) but they had a different outcome. Their coming together was sexually explosive and emotional and worth every word. We meet Chance in this story, his character makes you want to know more about him and hope he gets a happy ending.
Liam & Meagan (3rd Place)
My first thought before reading this book was…why does Meagan have a story? In the first book, she was depressed and in mourning because she lost her husband, the father of her daughter and love of her life. So my question was, how can she fall for someone else with the same intensity? I’m not feeling Meagan, its two or three years later and she is still throwing a pity party for someone we find out she wasn’t even in love with. He was her best friend and she’s acting like she lost her soul mate and can’t move on. She now has all these beautiful friends around her and she still feels alone…get over it already. She is keeping Liam at arm’s length because she is scared of the deep feelings he invokes. The whole game gets boring. Liam trying to win her affection and her pushing him away. There is just too much angst. On another note, her daughter Molly has so much love to give everyone around and is a sweetheart. Chance is only mentioned once; he is away on a mission.
Nate & Ember (2nd Place)
Started off with two things I don’t like in main characters – Stripper and Man Ho. After Ember admitted her feelings for Nate on her graduation night and he didn’t respond in kind, they go their separate ways. It’s been three years since her graduation and although she continued to moon over Nate and started skipping family dinners not to run into him, he moves on with his life. He was all about having fun and all the sex he could get. No thought to Ember romantically until her 21st birthday. He admitted his love finally and worked at showing her by his actions. There was no Chance in this story, not even a memory.
And Oh My God, Sway once again stole my heart and had me laughing my butt off!! I cannot wait for the next book in this series!
I followed the Corps Security series and was always curious about what their futures would look like. I was so invested in the characters, that when the series came to an end, I felt as though I had lost an entire group of friends. Hearing that there would be a series featuring the children, and thereby other family members, I was hooked. These books have heart, laughs, some intrigue, and love. The bundle features some awesome bonus material not featured elsewhere, also!
A great read and a great bundle!
