Even with inflammation and other allergy responses happening (it is Spring at the moment with pollen and other stuff), keyloids are actually going down with 2 pills a day (which hasn't happened before ... usual sequence: allergy response = inflammation rise = keyloid irritation, growth, swelling). Now, they don't itch, they don't seem to grow. And the one time that I noticed they firmed up was when I took only one pill and the pollen / allergens in the air went way up for that day. I felt awful from lots of allergy sources that day.
I'm not hot on the flavor. I try not to taste it. Thankfully, doesn't linger in my mouth. Move on after the momentary (yuck, don't like it) and try not to think about it again. It's not strong. I just don't like it. That's if I think about tasting it. I try to think about something else. If I'm successful, I don't even remember the taste.
No garlic breath.
Maybe it's finally getting rid of something that lingered from all those childhood antibiotic rounds. All the anti-inflammatory stuff barely gets the keyloids to go down. Two garlic pills a day and look at that, decreasing. I can also breathe through my nose more easily (sinuses are often swelled and irritated ... to the point of 2 surgeries to open them up ... just to swell again; decided not to suffer a 3rd round of expense and pain just to be back in the same place again).
If I only take one garlic pill, it's barely noticeable. I get to two and can feel the difference. Label indicates can take 4x a day, one pill at a time preferably with food. I'm so sensitive to stuff that I am hesitant to try more than the smallest amount. Maybe I'll try a 3rd one some time in the future.
It's a low cost option to try to get a keyloid to go down compared to the doctor bill for a treatment that would just give me problems in other ways. Does it get my sinuses to the point I can smell anything other than the strongest odors? Actually, yes.
Caution, I'm not normal when it comes to overall health. I react to things most people don't. Stuff that's hypoallergenic ... my body can generate symptoms. Stuff that ought to make me sick, I can tolerate. Confounding for me and all the doctors I've tried. 15+ years of medical treatments and I'm done with the needles, the pokes, the tests, the 'you're an anomaly.' Two surgeries to be back in the same place anyway, even with a restricted and isolated lifestyle? I think I'll just skip the big bill and recovery time and live with it.
So I tried the garlic pill and was impressed by the decreased inflammation in my body. Even though, I got it to try and deal with something else, because I didn't want to use garlic topically (oh, the smell, yeah, not if I can help it). Internally was supposed to help with that other issue, just take longer. No smell and take longer? Yeah, why not. And it helped with inflammation. That other thing? Well, it looks gone. But it's played dead before and come back, so it's gonna take a long time for me to believe it's gone this time.
Worth a try if you're dealing with chronic inflammation issues like me. Maybe it'll help. If it doesn't, you can always give it away or toss it and try to find something that does.
I normally run 145-155 over 90-100 and I checked my BP at work the other day and it was 144/92...which is decent for me...and that was after a stressful day. Then I had it checked at the hospital yesterday and it was 146/84. My low BP number hasn't been that low since I was 30 and in great shape.
So take this as you will, but I believe the combo of this and lecithin is really working and I've tried CoQ10, and others with no luck, so I'm really happy this has worked so far. Can't wait to get my blood work done to see what everything looks like.
