I so hope she is somewhat at peace now.
Although this is a very short story I highly recommend this book to everyone.
As it zigzags between the investigation of paranormal claims about a moving chair, and the story told about the young woman, Mike weaves them together and shares some intriguing mysteries and a twist that no one had expected as they delve further into trying to find out more about this young spirit's torment. It took years for the true story to finally surface about the horrors that were inflicted upon this young woman, not just once, but numerous times. The pain, suffering and betrayal she endured by some that she trusted the most, and a true love that was ripped from her life never to return was this young woman's misfortune at an early age. Mike keeps you wanting to know more as you follow along with him as they are investigating the strange things they experience and the tragedy of her story as he unveils it.
A clue left behind by the young woman years earlier is discovered and shows she was fully capable of being rational even though she had been committed to what was known at the time as a lunatic asylum. She was placed in the asylum in an effort to hush her about what was going on in her life, all at the hands of others. Mike shares with you what happened toward the end of their investigation which reveals the twist and he tells how this young spirit whose earthly life was full of desperation and oppression finally is able to be lifted from her plight. I was not disappointed and wanted to know more as I was reading the story. Mike Ricksecker is now on my list of authors to continue to follow and read more of what he has written.
