the 1/4" stereo jack on this item is too short ...

the 1/4" stereo jack on this item is too short and doesn't lock into place when plugged in so i ended up having to cut some of the plastic off so that it would actually work. i included images so you can see how long a normal jack (left) is and how the jack on this item (right) is shorter, and then i included a photo from after cutting off some of the plastic. hopefully they can adjust the manufacturing slightly.

the manufacturer's (Hosa) packaging makes me doubt it cares about quality

The item arrived in a manufacturer's packaging with the item inside being placed in such a way where all four cables (two out - two in) are bent (see the picture). I'm not too familiar with how well any cables should be packaged to avoid damage (especially considering that this particular 6.3mm breakout is for transmitting sound), but I know that good shielding is important to transmit the signal. I hope that having bent the cables in the way Hosa did did not cause any damage.
