The characters where well developed you get a real sense of what they felt and what they are feeling. What they went through what they are still going through and what they are trying to get through. I can't wait for more of this series and I highly recommend this book.

We are introduced to Sam Stanton who is hot as hell, successful, and is determined to climb the corporate ladder. You will definitely fall in love with him but at times he will frustrate you. He has a fiancé named Ginny which he’s just comfortable with since she’s not the person who his heart belongs to. Everyone around him knows that he hasn’t moved on but somehow he’s in denial until an unexpected reunion makes him question everything.
Lydia on the other hand, walks back into Sam’s life when a job opportunity arises. She finds it as the perfect occasion to seek revenge for her broken heart. This reunion makes her question her feelings and she’s at a loss on how she will handle everything.
There are so many things that happen throughout the book that are so unexpected. You will experience the deceitfulness & manipulation of a certain character that will make you question the extreme people will go through in order to hold onto a person.
Will either of them be able to forget the heartbreak they suffered? You have to read this one in order to find out if they overcome the things that kept them apart. You definitely won’t be disappointed, and I look forward to reading more from AM Madden which will hopefully Liam’s book!
The characters of Sam and Lydia were well written and developed! Their chemistry is off the charts and the back story is crazy! You are able to connect to them and feel all the feels they do! My heart hurt for them and I felt a lump in my throat on more than one occasion! What those two went through was enough to break your heart! The supporting cast is terrific too! Sam’s ex was a piece of work of such mammoth proportions you have no idea! Cooper, Sam’s brother, is a hopeless romantic and I pray he has a book, I loved him! Liam, Sam’s best friend was laugh out loud funny and the office man slut! OMG he is the cause of some of Sam’s single escapes and is a supportive if not nosy friend! He always wants details! I also want him to have a book! There are other characters from the first book in this series that make their appearances felt and you don’t need to read the first book to read this one, but it sure makes me want to go back and read the first book in the series!
I can’t tell you enough how good this book is! I was so sad when it was over! I don’t want to tell you anything more about it because you need to experience it for yourself! I highly recommend this book!
Sam Stanton has it all, well everything he thinks he has but is wishing he had the one thing that he doesn't have...Lydia. She was the girl that got away, well moved away. There are so many obstacles in this couples life, that they don't even know about. Sam is honest to a fault with everyone in his life, family and especially brutally honest at work. The only person he's not honest with is himself.
Lydia enters the story, and then all hell break's loose. Lies' become truth, and the truth becomes blurred. Lydia is dealing with her own truth and lies as well, and is still grieving over the loss of her Mother as well as guilt.
A.M. Madden's character's truly come to life, and I feel as if I'm a part of the scene. You amaze me with your words, and I am so grateful that I found you.
