I really loved this second installment in the Robinson Family series. K. Sadeé did a great job of combining music, current events, pop culture and a good old fashioned love story all in one with Hot 16. Ali is a man after my own heart. He knows what he wants and is patient enough to wait until he gets just that. Equally talented Winter, the middle Season sister, always looking out for her sisters concedes to working with Ali on his new album inspired by recent acts of police violence against Blacks. Winter never stands a chance to Ali’s passion and charm. Together they make beautiful music. Winter and Ali’s story is endearing and leaves you cheering for their HEA. The book drew me in from page one, I only wish it would have been longer.
There is no doubt that K. Sadeé is a gifted storyteller. This is my second book from her and where the editing was a little better than her first novel it was still pretty bad. Normally, I would not continue reading with as many errors but the story is so good it was hard to put it down. I hope Sadeé will hire a good editor for her next book. The mistakes and transitions were definitely a distraction and take away from the story which could potentially limit her readership. It would be a shame for others to miss out on such a talented writer because of poor editing. Overall, this was a good read and I look forward to Summer’s story.

So often we lose out on finding our true mates because of our visual perceptions and stereotypes. It takes a person of strength and awareness of self and what he or she wants in their mate. So I say yes to Ali and Winter. Loved the Ali character!!

I've been invested in the Robinson's and their stories since Autumn and Baahir. Winter and Ali have only strengthened that... can't wait to read what's next! I'll be waiting

K. Sadeé's debut novel, 'MVP Daddy' was good. Like really, really, good. I fell in love with Autumn and Baahir, and their story was told so beautifully. Naturally, I had to read the next book in the series, and K. Sadeé didn't disappoint. Winter and Ali were....**swoon** Their story was a slow burn, but I loved watching their relationship build. In the first three-quarters of the novel, we see them as artists bonding over craft. In the last quarter, their relationship evolves into something more. I love how music, Black resistance, and social justice were woven into the plot. A trend I'm beginning to notice about Sadeé's work is that she finds a way to portray sexy, hyper-masculine male characters with feminist sensibilities; I absolutely love and appreciate this. Ali was *that dude*; he was respectful, patient, generous, and loving. I think that he was better developed than Winter. To be clear, she had depth, but she didn't seem as complex (or, at least readers don't get a deeper sense of her complexity). My only wish is that Winter and Ali had settled into their romantic relationship earlier in the plot. While I understand why the steady progress was necessary (given events that had happened in Winter's past), I just wanted to see more of them together, loving and supporting each other. All in all, I was very impressed with the dialogue, the character development, the chemistry, supporting characters, and the storyline. Can't wait for K. Sadeé's next publication <3

PLEASE work on the editing! Words were missing, misspelled, & misused, ugh! I so dislike when a really promising story is lessened by the distraction of bad or not enough attention paid to editing.
Love the premise, loved how Ms. Sadeé took on the challenge of racism, the taking of & continuous mistreatment of our people & predatory issues in the entertainment industry. Loved the characters, the couple and family love and support throughout the story.
This would’ve been a five star read for me but all the stumbling over misspellings & having to reread sentences to figure out which words to add in or change incorrect words, was...exasperating. However, I do hope she continues to write and improve because I admire and enjoy where her creativity takes her.

Winter was as cool as the season she’s named for, but Ali had what it took to thaw her heart. Because of a past tragedy winter stayed as far away from rappers as possible. When her sister’s husband happens to be best friends with a successful rapper and places them in close proximity, she is not comfortable. Ali wants to do an album and the only person he can imagine collaborating with is Winter. Once he convinces her to collaborate on the album; he works to convince her to collaborate in life!
This was another great read from K Sadee and I’m looking forward to reading Summer’s story.

This story was a good read it just was not as entertaining as the first book. The follow-up was slow at times and I wanted to feel more involved in the story. I liked Ali from the first story but I could never see Winter clearly. The connection was nice, however it was very slow in progression. The connection never screamed hot, heavy, heady, can't live without you in love.. Overall it was a good story

I liked this part, but it wasn't as good as the first one. It started slow. I just wished the authority's have put them together sooner. When they finally got together, it is the end. Plus, I need more story. If you get what I'm saying. I mean they didn't do enough together. I guess that is why they didn't really get together till the end, but all in all still good. Ready for Summer story.
