Love is in the air in Reindeer Ridge as four female shop owners celebrate the season.

I have really loved Macie St. James books lately. They are all so enjoyable, clean, and more realistic than most romance books these days. All of her characters are more realistic, as are the settings in these small towns. Too bad Christmas didn't realize that fact, before running out on the one person who'd give her the world, if he'd had a chance. Christmas ran out on her wedding day, and didn't stop until her feet touched down in L.A.. Her hopes and dreams were shattered after 7 yrs. trying to make a name for herself, only to fall deeper in dept and desperation. Does she go back home with her tail between her legs hoping for forgiveness? And even if she did, was there even a chance that she could still win Slade's heart back again? Or has he already forgotten, her and moved on?

'Hot Cocoa Kisses' by Macie St. James is the fourth book in her Reindeer Ridge series and tells the story of Christmas Gray, in town to help a friend, and Slade Allen, a Reindeer Ridge police officer. Christmas and Slade were supposed to get married after they graduated from high school. But Christmas ran out from their wedding, literally ran away from their wedding and Slade never learned why. He did learn that she ran all the way to Los Angeles to try to get into the movie business and he figured he'd never see her again. Now seven years later Christmas is back in town helping Gertie with her coffee shop, Slipper Slope Coffee in Snowcap Village. Christmas is happy to help out her friend but what she didn’t expect was to enjoy herself so much. As long as she can avoid Slade everything should be fine. Unfortunately as she was going to work one morning she noticed bubbles coming out of the fountain and then she saw Slade. He looked even better then the day she ran. Slade couldn't believe Christmas was more beautiful today then on their wedding day. But it doesn't matter since she is not staying in town.

Ms. St James has written an engaging addition to her series. The interactions between Slade and Christmas were at times cringe worthy, funny, and steamy. I loved how their friends kept creating situations for them to run into each other. Alhough this book is short it is well written with great characters, wonderful dialogue, and a delightful plot. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes some Christmas with their romance.

Short but sweet and heavy in the swoon worthy feels category this is the perfect cold afternoon read where you just want to snuggle under a blanket with a hot drink ill be keeping this one for just those rare days in the future

A second chance at love

Fans of the Residents of Reindeer Ridge will be delighted to rad this love story. After leaving Slade at the altar seven years ago, Christmas returns intent on avoiding him but fate has other plans. The story unfolds we’re the pair must come with terms of what happened in the past to determine whether or not 5hey have a future. Although each story is written as a stand alone, I have found that catching up with our couples to be an enjoyable part of reading these books. I’d recommend reading them all.

Second chances at life and love 💔🏡

So far Christmas has managed to dodged Slade but her luck runs out one morning after a prank on the fountain and now they have to speak to each other which in turns brings their guards down just a little. You can feel how much neither want to see each other but also how much they still care so when they both start doing well friend like things for each other which makes you giggle as their subconscious has decided to take control as they are hopeless in seeing what they really want. This is a super sweet second chance where everyone but Slade and Christmas realise they are meant to be together and that home for both of them is Reindeer Ridge, thankfully they have meddling but well meaning friends and a chance to get their HEA.

I have totally enjoyed this wonderful series taking place in Reindeer Ridge. This story showed that true love is still there even if it takes seven years to find it again. Christmas was to marry Slade and started down the aisle but turned and ran leaving Slade standing at the altar. Now seven years later she has returned to town to see her sister. As she plans on laying low, she ends up helping a friend by managing her coffee shop after breaking her hip. She reacquaints her friendships but finds herself torn as this feels like returning home. Will she stay this time and will these two ever find their happiness?
