Hot Item is the 3rd book in the Hot Zone Series, and I have to say WOW. This book blew me away!

Sophie Jordan is the middle child, she likes to stay in control and take care of everyone's problems, and does not adapt well to chaos. When Spencer Atkins, her Uncle Tank's best friend and new partner disappears the company goes haywire. Enter Riley Nash, Uncle Tank's star football player who tends to flirt and tease Sophia whenever he comes in to meet with Tank. During all of the craziness Riley arrives at The Hot Zone. He needs to find Spencer just as badly as Sophie does. Riley hires Sophie to be his PR Rep so he can explain why.

Sophie doesn't deal with jocks or do them, but she is HOT for Riley. Riley throws Sophie's control out the door. Against her better judgement they work together to find Spencer, and they act on their attraction. You will laugh, possibly get frustrated by the issues that both Riley and Sophie have, and how they handle them. But overall, you will fall in love with the characters.

Once again, Carly has incorporated all of the characters in the Series while bringing in new ones that bring so much to the Series. Of course, the side-stories once again explain so much about Sophie and Riley.

This is the third book in Carly Phillips Hot Zone Series, Sophie Jordan is the middle sister and she end up working along side Riley Nash a QB and client of her uncles but there's some secrets coming out that they both are trying to keep quiet and contained. But they also have a lot of chemistry but they are also totally different. One of the things I love about Carly Phillips books is that you get to read about all of the other characters from previous books but if you haven't read them you aren't lost. Plus there are new character like the crazy aunts. I recommend to read this book or reread this one since it is a rerelease. There is one more book in this series.

Finally we get Sophie's book in the Hot Zone series. Sophie is the middle child and is very set in her ways.
She is the peacemaker, the one who helps everyone else in their problems, not giving herself an opportunity to be happy.
Riley is the NFL's number one quarterback. He has his own issues and plenty of secrets.
They are forced together and develop feelings for one another, but Sophie is hesitant to move forward with Riley.
Once again a superbly written book by Carly who takes the reader through an emotional roller coaster. Looking forward to the next book in the series

I'm not going to lie, it took me longer than usual to get through Sophie's book. By the middle of the book I did end up loving her and Riley and then flew through the book but it took me a little while longer to invest in her story. My favorite parts of the book were more about Riley and his interactions with his friend Mike and his family down South then they were about Sophie. Although it took me a little longer to become invested in Sophie's story I would recommend this book to others.

Before I had 4 Stars because this had been my least favorite but now that I've read it again, i changed it to five. I know Hot Property is next but this had always been a trilogy to me about the sisters, Lola and of course Uncle Yank. I love reading this series and Sophie's story was just as heartwarming and amazing as the other two. Amazing read I couldn't put it down! Now onto Roper's story!
