Yank Morgan, owner of The Hot Zone Sports Agency. Yank becomes guardians of his 3-nieces when his sister and her husband are killed in a plane crash. With the help of Lola, his personal assistant, they raise Annabelle, Sophie, and Michelle into strong women. Upon completion of their college education they become partners with Yank at The Hot Zone, which is now a Sports Agency/PR Firm. The ladies handle the PR side while Yank handles the Sports Agency side.
The Hot Zone takes on an old/new client, the once famous football player Brandon Vaughn. The construction of Brandon's resort is being sabotaged, and Annabelle is the person given the assignment to work her PR magic and find out what is going on. Little does Annabelle know that Uncle Yank is playing match-maker. Does Yank's shenanigans work? Will Brandon and Annabelle have the courage to find true love?
The interaction between Brandon and Annabelle will draw you in until the end.
I loved the Series when it was first released, am excited to see it being Re-Released with updates, and can't wait to read Hot Number. I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Boy am I glad I did! This book was so good. There are actually several couples showcased in the book, but the main characters are Annabelle and Brandon. The chemistry between them is off the charts right from the beginning. There is so much sexual tension brewing between them that you can't help but cheer when they finally give into their mutual attraction!
The book isn't just about their attraction, though. No, there is a deep story taking place between the pages of this book. Both the hero and heroine have emotional scars from events during their childhoods; for Annabelle it was losing both her parents at a young age, for Brandon it was having parents who weren't very loving or supportive. They both have so much emotional baggage to work through, so many insecurities that keep getting in the way, that it makes your heart hurt for them. You can't help but feel pulled into their lives and want to fix everything that is wrong so they can be happy together.
The way Carly goes about bringing them together is so moving. It's not sappy or silly but it is filled with intense emotion. It takes a bit of upheaval and some heart-to-heart talks form some unlikely people for our reluctant hero to open his eyes and realize that his insecurities are keeping him from the one thing that really makes him happy. Annabelle.
If you love romances filled with heat, action, drama, and flawed characters, you will love Hot Stuff!
We meet Annabelle after another high profile breakup with another high profile athlete. That seems par the course for her as one of the 3 agents at her uncles sports firm. She has resolved to no longer falling for athletes. Sex, yes please. Love, no thank you.
Until she meets Brandon Vaughn. He's a sexy retired ex-footballer that wants to return to her uncles firm and Annabelle is asked to help me with a PR crisis.
Brandon has also been burned, most recently by his ex-wife, and has no interest in love. However he can't deny an attraction to Annabelle that has remained from the very first time he saw her years ago.
When they are stuck working together in a remote location, will they find out that they're good together or horrible? This was an easy, enjoyable book to read. I loved her uncle and her sisters are funny. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.
