If you have been disappointed with quality and design of Hot Wheels play sets over the past few years, THIS is SWEET REDEMPTION. Just watch the video - it's TOTALLY AWESOME! Multiple escape hatches, get away ramp with quick launch, and sound effects extend the playtime of this set. Oh - and did I say MILLENNIUM FALCON? HOW MUCH COOLER CAN YOU GET? It is reminiscent of the 70's model, but a smaller, more manageable size for small children (and adults). Oh - and did I say HOT WHEELS? We've all been collecting the Star Wars cars for a few years - now we finally know what to do with them. The whole family has already had hours of fun with this one. It connects to other sets with standard track and seems to be rather sturdy considering all the bells and whistles. It does not dis-assemble very easily (which can be a good thing) but parts do fold up to facilitate storage.
Only one word of caution, the movie ticket is for Fandango. Unfortunately, we do not have a Fandango movie theater in our area so we will not likely redeem the ticket. But who cares? I'm not disappointed in the least. The price point on this set is phenomenal for what you get - even without a free movie ticket!

Getting Battle-Ready
A big battle is on the horizon and the Millennium Falcon must be prepared and battle-ready because the First Order is going to be launching a massive attack! The engines and the hyperdrive need to be repaired and everything must be in position to meet the challenge. The set includes a working elevator that lifts your character car up to areas in the Falcon that need fixing. The guns are also at the top and need to be manned to fire at the First Order.

Very Cool, Still Could Be Better
First and foremost I want to address the FREE MOVIE TICKET issue that people are having a problem with. After Amazon receives your order and ships it out to you, they will send you an email. The sender is AMAZON.COM, the subject line reads "BENEFIT CONFIRMATION FOR YOUR ORDER," followed by the order number. In this email will be a PROMO CODE and INSTRUCTIONS on how to redeem it via Fandango.com. Check your email, including your spam and trash folders. You will be asked to sign in to Fandango and enter your preferred movie theater's city or zip code. If there is no participating theater for a "free movie ticket" voucher, you will have the option - after entering your promo code - to print out a $12.00 coupon that can be used at your theater instead. I went through the process and have the $12.00 coupon in hand, ready to go. It works.As for the toy, it is recommended for ages 4-8. I bought it for a 4 year old. To save time when he opened it and to speed up the "play with it" factor, I applied the stickers and put it together for a test run. (Note, once its put together you cannot completely disassemble it to fit it back into the box.) The stickers are a pain... I would not expect any child under age 8 to have the dexterity to get them all placed properly. Piecing the set together is fairly simple, instructions are provided. They use a lot of small grey scale images which sometimes made it hard to see clearly. The set only comes with two 12" lengths of track and one vehicle, the Chewbacca. The track pieces are standard Hot Wheel tracks, so if you already own some, you can connect them to expand the play area of this set. Even if you do not have any other pieces to add, you still have a pretty cool toy for play.The ship is about 15" across. It sits about 5 inches or so above the floor on top of molded plastic supports. There is a trap door / ramp exit from the ship, dropping the car onto the track which attaches underneath the ship. There is a launcher there, press that and it shoots the car down the track, zooming out from under the ship. The picture on the back side of the box (I posted it below) shows how it works. Just don't be fooled by how many cars it shows being used: you only get the Chewbaca vehicle. I bought a few extra cars separately - Darth Vader, Storm Trooper, and C3PO. I also bought a Hans Solo action figure to round out the 'fun for more than one kid' factor.The fact that you only get one car and 2 pieces of track is my reason for not giving 5 stars. There are multiple places to attach track, and even my nephew asked,"where is the track for this other ramp?" Since there's bound to be another kid wanting to join in the play, one car just doesn't do. Purchasing extra vehicles was definitely a smart move... and I knew they had more Hot Wheel tracks, so the gift was a huge success. My 4 year old nephew absolutely loves this, and so does his 9 year old brother.
