CHOKING HAZARD -- Small parts. Not for children under 3 yrs.
Hot Wheels RC Stealth Rides Racing Car Assortment is small enough to fit in a pocket and engineered to amaze. These mini but mighty cars fold flat and fit in a slim carrying case, but don't be fooled -- the carrying case doubles as the controller. Slide the vehicle from the controller and with 1 press transform it to a fully functional RC vehicle. Built for high-speed turns and spinning, these Stealth Rides vehicles are the biggest little things in the world of RC. Collect 'em all.
This flashy, RC racer can reach serious speeds on a hard surface.
The carrying case also functions as a transmitter, and is used to control the car.
The innovative foldable design of this RC racing car is the first of its kind. Kids will love carrying this pocket-sized car around, and you'll appreciate how simple it is to store and maintain.
This red racer with sporty orange detailing features a transformation button on the rear window. When the button is pushed, the vehicle's sides fold down, allowing you to slip the car into the slim carrying compartment which doubles as the transmitter.
While you're removing the car from the case press the transformation button and this speedy racer will spring back into shape. The transmitter's two buttons allow for intuitive, multi-directional movement.
A Lightning-Fast RC Racer for Indoor Play
The foldable RC Stealth Rides Racing Car features incredible, agile movement. It performs best indoors on hard surfaces, where it's protected from direct sun. This RC racer has a shorter driving range than other RC vehicles, so tell kids to stay close to their cars while they play.
Kids will love getting together and racing their RC Stealth Rides vehicles. Much like a TV remote, this RC vehicle relies on infrared signals to operate, so playing with two vehicles simultaneously requires that they be set to different channels. Setting up a race between two cars is easy--check the backside of the transmitters and cars, and switch one set to channel three, and the other to channel four.
If the car and transmitter remain idle, the power will automatically shut off. Teach kids to set the channels to zero after they're finished with the big race.
What's in the Box
RC Stealth Rides Racing Car with AG13 (LF44) batteries, three extra AG13 (LF44) batteries, and instructions.

First, his review: He's in love. He says it works and goes forward. This is true. It DOES work which was better than the Tonka. He has been playing with it alot and when he is not, it's in the little case/remote right by his side.
Here is MOM's review: I think that it is really not worth 25 bucks.
Sure it comes with 3 EXTRA BATTERIES. It takes 8 button cell batteries in all!!! I have no idea how much those cost to replace. The car is NOT at all speedy. The box boasts "HIGH SPEED SPINNING AND TURNS" and that may be the only high speed action we have seen. There is no high speed on the straight away. When we first took it from the package it would go no further than 2 feet from the controller and stop. For some reason it's range increased after a few minutes.
It's a very cute concept. He loves it and big brother WILL want one. If it were up to Mom, I probably would take it back and try again.
I have 4 boys and we will continue our search for a great R/C vehicle.
He carries it anywhere he goes.
It slides smoothly in his pocket - So it is simple to carry around.
Popping at a click makes its transformation from a slim shape into a full 3D car surprising.
Driving is simple and fun.
Seems like I will need to buy more for the other kids ;-)
I loved that the batteries came already installed and that extras were included. You just open the package and can start using the car, no assembly on installation required.
I did think the price point was pretty high for what you get. I would think something like this would retail for $9.99 or $12.99. But I had a bunch of vouchers good for any Mattel item due to some recalled Fisher Price items I sent back to them, so I can't really complain.
I'm a little worried about the quality of the item, if your son was rough with it, it would be easy to break I think. Or if it was left out and accidentally stepped on, which could happen because they're so small. But I also think that Mattel is a pretty good company and would take care of you if there was a problem.
My son loves these and is so excited about them. We have only had them for a day but they seem to be working fine. I like that he can just put them in his pocket so he has something to play with wherever he goes. I also think it's a great conversation starter - if he saw another little boy he wanted to play with, he could let him use one of the RCs and they could race each other.
Sometimes he puts the car into the cartridge incorrectly but with a little patience I have been able to get it out without incidence. I don't think it is worth the current cost($24) but as the novelty of it wears down I'm sure the price will also.

Very basic controls with less than hoped for performance.
Died within 3 days of purchase. At least was able to get return/refund.
It’s decent but the battery consumption is too much for my liking. It can get really annoying to have to change the batteries more often than I charge my phone. Read morePublished 21 months ago by Abram Gooch

The three cars were as expected and the kids had terrific fun.
